Re: 2024 Quick Daily Posts
Hope the weather improves for the lambs. It's been pretty bad (cold, wet) so far. Also hope your friends have a good home for all that gorgeous wool!

Re: Serinde lives up to her name update 30 Mar 2024
Here's a couple of samples of my colour experiments when I was on the retreat at Ardgour. Doesn't look like much, I realise, but we were out on walks learning the Gaelic words for the landscape and colours (and how they are used). Also warping a piece of cloth to be handwoven and then weaving it. An...

Re: 2024 The Smile for Today
Yes, the British take it to a different level, presumably because it's easier to care about dumb animals because they are "dumb" (unless you want to eat them, of course, but sometimes even then because, after all, self-interest is a thing). I also have a theory about this. It always made s...

Huzzah indeed for the rescue of George and the British penchant for this sort of thing.

Anchor multicolour thread help needed
I have a chart for most of the DMC variations and the solid colours that make them up. Very handy. Is there anything like that for Anchor multicolours? I can't find anything on the intertubes, but if anyone here does, that would be helpful! I'm particularly looking for what solid colours go to make ...

Mabel, you have made my day. A bulb field is EXACTLY what it was meant to be! Wish I'd had yellow pearl cotton, but alas!

Re: Serindë's Stitching adventure 2024 1 April
We have lambs in the field opposite us today! Very on-point for Easter. I reckon they are about 3-4 weeks. Sturdy. Here is April from Karen Turner's stitch journal. There are a few I really like, and a few that I had to remember that no frogging was allowed. I'm off to start swapping more "spri...
