Re: Anyone from Utah? I need your help.

Is the photo from a finished work or a stamped canvas? I'm intrigued by the structures in the background on the right. They are distinctive and may help fixing the location.

Re: OT Our little friends

Love them. For years I had teddy bear hamsters, one at a time and all named Nippy. The first one would ride around in my pocket and hop when I said TREAT. The last Nippy was three years old and lived to "90" or so says the vet who was astounded. In general, I like all furbabies. (It's the ...

Re: Newbie- need help finding a frame

I'm busily taking notes on all the suggestions when I click on the link for the stitch clips and see the price. LOL, these look just like the clips I use to hold my fitted sheets on the bed. I'm pretty sure I only paid a couple dollars for them. I see an engineering project in my future.

Re: NaNoWriMo?

I signed up and made a start. I should have no problem getting 50,000 words down since I talk that much in my sleep! My plan is to do a series of 15 chapters, each focusing on one plot and then weave them together after Nov. It's good to have a plan, even if it goes to pot. Good luck to all "gl...

Well done! I have a fondness for pigs, but the wall tiles and bathtub decorations are adorable. I may need one that says "Don't Hog the Cookes".

Re: HAED Start 10/29/12

The design is going to be stunning from even across the room! I never heard of HAED until I joined this form. Frankly, they scare me a little on the stitching side. I've been out of the stitching loop for a few years and really must tackle those UFOs and begin a few holiday projects. What are the bl...

Re: Looking for medical related cross-stitch

For intellectual property purposes, you can modify a pattern for your own personal use once you own the pattern; however you can't profit from anything created as a result of the modification (former IP litigation paralegal here). You could complete a pattern design you really like and simply add em...

Re: What would you do?

For me, stitching is sharing part of me as time is really our most valuable personal asset. You already have lost the love, so to speak, with the gift for the intended recipient. In some areas, I have no patience for cruel actions of others; whether the action was purposeful or not. The mere fact yo...

Re: NaNoWriMo?

I haven't written fiction in years (unless you count tax returns). First writing gig was commercials for radio. Then onto PBS TV guides, medical and science development writing, and finally legal writing (may also be considered fiction at times). This is the first I've heard of the event; but will t...

Re: Cross Stitch Pattern needed

Hi, if you are talking about the JCA Holly Horse Stocking, you may have to search ebay or other stitch sites and ask if anyone has the pattern for sale as the company has closed. I know the person who purchased some of the remaining stock and they sent her the "Masters". I will ask if this...

Love the purple Lump! I never heard of the cartoon, but will check out the characters right now. I plan to steal the "lump off" phrase to use when my friends/family say something totally ridiculous (so, essentially on daily, if not hourly, basis). Thanks for sharing.

Re: Halloween / Autumn Themed Work - My Pretty Finished! 10/

Wonderful. I agree about the "red" and changing to stitches or french knots. A bright yellow would also look terrific with the rest of your colors. (The web is my fave part, too.)
