Re: fccs’s Book of Mythical Creatures 5/1/2024

I’ve not done a lot of stitching this past month but I’ve managed to make some progress on Mythical Creatures. This is where I left off earlier this evening.

Re: 2024 Word Game

recover (explanation: Some retail stores employees have to "zone" their departments which means they put stuff back where it goes. I worked at a store that called it "recover" which is the same thing: putting back stuff that shoppers left everywhere except where they picked it up.)

Re: 2024 The Smile for Today

I can picture what you describe. When I see Jackson (my cat) or one of my grand dogs try to get traction on a tile or wood floor, it reminds me of watching cartoon characters trying to escape.

Re: KittyZ's stitching 2024

Using only two strands might add texture to the cat? Just guessing. I know it's going to look fabulous.

And with your smalls, you inspired me to get out my Leisure Arts books with Christmas smalls. Now that they're out, maybe I should stitch something from them. :-)

I picked this up at the framer (Hobby Lobby) today. I had the idea to have the Metro map framed with it and I am over the moon with the result.

(Richard, I can’t figure out why pro football needs cheerleaders - scantily clad young women for a primarily male audience. Oh wait, never mind.)

I do, too. I think it fits the vibe of the older (60 years ago) stop motion animation, giving it a cartoon-y feel.
