Re: getting a glitter affect on fabric

I'll try the Krylon. I also heard about a product called Glimmer Mist (scrapbookers use it so I believe it to be acid free) I have several pieces of fabric that I wanted to glitter. I've seen the opalescent fabrics but they can be quite pricey. I usually buy them for my bigger, more detailed project...

getting a glitter affect on fabric

Is there a spray thay anyone knows of that will safely add that "sparkle" affect to your fabric? The pieces I want to stitch will not be washed.

What fabric did you get and where did you get it? I have this pattern and LOVE it. I really like your fabric color. I was afraid to get something for fear it would be too dark.

Re: Needle Needs Shop

I get that they could be overwhelmed HOWEVER, my emails started out very compassionately and on April 1st, I was emailed saying that it was going to go out that week. I gave them over a week and emailed back asking for a tracking number and got no response. A few days later, I asked if they were hav...

Needle Needs Shop

Is anyone else having trouble with getting their orders? I ordered a stand which I got in 3 months which I understand is the norm; then I ordered some extended arms for the stand, a longer side bar for my millennium frame, and a large millennium frame ALL OF WHICH WAS IN STOCK. I ordered this in Feb...

Re: Christmas cross stitch goodies?

I was very blessed. My husband got me the needle needs floor stand and millenium frame combo and to top it off he purchased 95% of the threads for the large treasure hunt book shelf. The thought of him getting all that DMC brings a smile to my face.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Re: Large Treasure Hunt Bookshelf released today!

Has anyone that purchased the Large Treasure Hunt pattern thought about what fabric to get and where? I just couldn't pass it up what with the 50% off sale. I also got So many Books, so Little time. I don't think the fabric would fit on a frame given the size it will have to be so what are you going...

Re: HAED Mini Watching it Fly Page 1 complete 19/11/13

I am doing the larger version of this and I am 1/2 way done with page 1. What is the PTB that you refer to in lieu of Krenik. I am NOT a fan of Krenik and there is SOOOOO much of it. It is hard working so many white threads on white fabric.

Re: Reborn Stitch Addict

Welcome from Boston MA!! It won't take long before you start buying everything and building your stash of patterns, threads and fabrics. So much has changed from 20 plus years ago when I was cross stitching. HAED patterns are unbelievable and addictive!! Do let us know when you end up getting one.

Re: kreinik metallic thread

I'm glad I found this thread. I am currently working on HAED Watching it Fly and it requires so much 032 Krenik. I have tried both stitching the square with that first and also going back in after and either way it doesn't matter. I don't particularly enjoy working with it but knowing I can try the ...

Re: Back to cross stitching

Hello and welcome to the forum! for small count I use a magnifier, the kind that clamp to your stand and has a flexible arm to position it over the area you prefer. I found it to be a huge help. I use reading glasses and the large magnifier that clamps to your frame or table. (123 stitch) It...
