Very very stressful day :-(

...and it's not even finished yet!! I work in the management office of a shopping centre and we had a big meeting this morning with the managers of the stores. This would be the first one of these meetings that I'd be in on, that was nerve racking enough but five mins before going into the meeting a...

Re: S-A-L with Es

I can't tell if this is on evenweave or aida?? I've done the Maia Rapunzel and that was aida (I am afraid of evenweave or linen or anything like that!!) but I didn't use a hoop or frame, just held it loose, as I think aida is sturdy enough to support itself, I don't think I could get used to a frame...

Re: TW The Storyteller - my current WIP

It's looking good, I love these medieval-type designs! :applesauce: About things looking darker than their picture, I've read on some HAED reviews about them coming out darker, and I think my Mystic Stitch will be a bit darker once it's done, judging by the skin tone colour but I guess we should jus...

Re: Amanda's Heart of the World HAED

Hmm, I am still wondering about gridding, never done it before and never really kept to the disciplined working on one 10x10 at a time thing either, I get bored & like to do different bits! I do try and work on just one page at a time though & finish that before moving to the next one

Re: HAED - The Awakening

That's a lot of progress already considering I can't see the individual stitches so they must be tiny, I love to see other people's progress on HAED as I have a chart waiting in my stash :)

Re: Hello everyone

Hi Dawn, I live in the rugged green countryside of Skelton (out in the sticks as my boss calls it, never fails to make fun of!) - I work in Middlesbrough though but prefer to escape back to the country at the end of the day hehe

Re: Nooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!

Stashing? Verb: to stash?
Btw, what does everyone keep their stash in? I was a naughty carrier bag sort of person until I got hold of one of those big flat plastic under-bed boxes with a lid, now at least all my bits of material & WIPs can lie flat

Re: padding?

Can I ask what is a biscornu?? I've seen them mentioned a few times on here, have never come across the word before! I'm assuming it's some kind of little stitched ornament, like a scissor keep or something?

Re: Backstitch?

Aha, I've found a thread about backstitch, I was just about to start one. I am a very passionate and avid stitcher but I HATE doing backstitch!, If I can get away with just doing the bare essentials (eyes, whiskers, outlines where it's all within the same colour stitches) I do. It just seems to me t...

Re: Hello everyone

Thanks for so many replies!! I can only read them at work as don't have the internet at home - still that makes the day go quick during quiet periods, and just today I came in earlier & brought my Mystic Stitch with me to work on for half an hour beforehand! (I've read the tips about ways to fin...
