Re: Buy kits or build a stash?
I am a big kit girl :) I have about 30 at the moment and that was after I did a bit of a cull this year. Oops! I like the convenience of kits and I also like buying them off ebay :) these are often vintage so I save a little money then buying the kits available in the big producers' current catalogu...

Re: The CF, No-Rationalization, Stitch-From-Stash Challenge
Thanks Gparr! I feel that I should also say that I have taken to selling other items on ebay so that I can justify my cross stitching spending further 'guilt free'. I use the money that I have 'earned(?)' from my sales to go and buy further cross stitch kits!! Anyone else guilty of this too or am I ...

Re: How do you push through a difficult project?
I agree with all the ladies comments :) turf it if you are not feeling the love...I did this for a few quilty projects I had that were never going to be finished. For projects where you are still motivated to see the finished product I would recommend trying to do different things on it so you dont ...

Re: April Reports: The CF Stitch-From-Stash Challenge

I love adding to my stash AND I buy 95% of my kits from ebay that are vintage, so when I see something I like I HAVE ...

Re: how did you start?
I'm not quite sure how young I was, but I would be inclined to say about 4 years old. I remember my first project was a coin purse that was designed for kids and had a plastic needle and large aida that mum gave to me :) Since then I have been on and off with cross stitch but really got back into it...

Re: Confessions of a Cross Stitcher
9. I bought a 4 bedroom house when it's just me so I could have a craft room. My stuff use to fill a closet, now it fills the room. This is so true! DH and I bought a new 4 bedroom house couple of years ago. As we don't have kids yet, I have my own craft room while the rumpus is the man cave! I nev...

Hi Athalie :) I am from Canberra :) Your bell pull sounds fantastic :) I am a bit nervous about starting the big one, it seems a little daunting! I am planning on taking progress shots of it as I start stitching it so as to encourage me that I have actually made some progress each time I stitch. Do ...

Hello from Australia!
Hi! My name's Joanna and I'm from Australia :) I love cross stitching in my spare time and buying vintage kits from ebay :). Currently I am working on a kit by Elsa Williams called the beaded marriage sampler. It is very beautiful but very big and detailed. I am trying to work my way up to starting ...
