Re: Adeliane's stitching 2014 - WIPs/ Goals
I didn't post for a while because I was in a sad mood. With the crisis we've problems to sell the flat and my grandmother isn't doing well. She's 91 and she's loosing her mind progressively and doesn't eat. The nurse told us it's quite normal with depressive aged people but it aches to see her suffe...

Re: My first biscornu!! (pic heavy)
Leroy and Adeliane, thank you so much for your explanations of a biscornu! You did a much better job of it than I could. :) Always a pleasure. Anchor floss! I was wondering which flosses you used. The gradients are really beautiful. I tried a "mini version", with a 28 counts linen....

Re: My first biscornu!! (pic heavy)
I love it, it's so colorful! Will you use it as pin cushion? Leroy is right, but I will add my expertise about this delicate subject. Biscornus is a french creation and became a kind of passion... A real biscornumania. Some (stupid) stitchers from my homeland think if you've not created one, you're ...

Re: Review sites you've ordered from
My suppliers are european and mainly french. Univers Broderie : it was THE reference 10 years ago. They had everything. Now there are fewer references and they sell "classical" patterns. Few US patterns. It's a good choice if I need DMC fabrics. I had issues with TreadworXs, these threads ...

Re: Adeliane's stitching 2014 - WIPs/ Goals
Thank you! I began Under The Red Blues 2 years ago and I really want to finish it for my husband. We saw it finished during a craft event and it's quite spectacular (more than 1 meter long). He was so impressed he purchased himself the pattern and the thread. He said: "You were looking for some...

Re: how did you start?
If a man has neither the talent nor the patience to hold a needle, how is it that so many haute couture designers are men? It's a quite strange way of thinking. My history: I was born left-handed but I was forced to use my right hand because some people are persuaded the left hand is related w...

I give you a link about french copyright: ADPBE Lots of french and now some European creators have joined the association. Re: Etudes de botanique MAGNOLIA
The magazine doesn't exist anymore but the good news is the creators sell their charts under the name "les brodeuses parisiennes".
I was wondering why you were talking about a magazine, while I've seen those patterns in a Parisian shop. Which shop is wonderfully, I daresay.

Re: Stash and Grab 2014
It reminds me when I lived near Bordeaux, in Hossegor. Winter? What winter? My allergic sister never visited me: flower pollen, then pine pollen... It was pollen season all year long. This year is exceptionally warm in France: few snow (except in the heights) and flood in the western country d...
