Re: with or without hearts?

I also prefer the version without hearts as it doesn't take away from the beautiful flowers. But truthfully, both are beautiful and I can see the hearts working for a more whimsical design.

Re: New to cross stitiching, I have a pretty optimistic proj

Great start!! As for the twisting, I just let it untwist every few stitches, and run my fingers along the thread to help the 2 strands lay flat. You can also try railroading (where you put the needle between the 2 strands when you pull through, this makes it lay next to each other), that might help ...

Re: OT, Just had a visitor

That is amazing news, you must be so proud of him! Enjoy every minute of his visit, you must have so much to catch up on.
As an aside, I find it a bit funny that he's leaving Ontario to go to NB for work. Generally, it's the other way around lol

Re: search symbols in PDF?

I'm not sure if I posted it on here or on the HAED board, but I've done something like this. It's a bit convoluted as it doesn't use the PDF directly, but you can start from there. I import my PDF into photoshop to work from as it's easier to highlight completed stitches there rather than in a PDF ...

Re: search symbols in PDF?

I don't think that was a PDF reader in the usual sense. I think the poster was talking about an app that highlighted all instances of the symbols on the screen. Symbols are usually taken from a font. All font readers that I'm familiar with have a "Find" feature in which you can search for...

search symbols in PDF?

Is there a PDF reader out there where you can select a symbol and it will highlight all occurrences of that symbol on your screen? Wouldn't that feature be amazing for confetti stitching?? I could swear I read a post about it, but can't find it again! Maybe I dreamt it all

Re: Nordly's Projects

Congrats on the finish! It's really cute! I have not long discovered Frosted Pumpkin and there are so many I would like to do but I am especially tempted by the Kawaii Winter Wonderland and the 12 Days of Christmas Sampler! I have way too many of their patterns, including those two!! So far I have ...
