I haven't gotten around to taking a more recent picture, so here is what Beauty looked like about a month ago. I've made a lot of progress since then so I'll try to post another update this weekend!

We have about five inches on the ground right now, and it's still coming down. Not hard to get around, though. I know so many people who are upset by such an early snowfall but personally I love this kind of weather, and winter in general.

I get bored with specific projects (not to brag but I'm simply amazing at starting ones - not so great at finishing). The act of stitching itself though, no, I don't get tired of that.

Fantastic work! I imagine the trees are especially tedious to work on, but they're also especially beautiful. Wow.

I've always used felt, and apply a thin amount of Elmer's Glue to it before melding it to the back of the canvas. Sometimes a bit of glue will seep through the holes, but it will dry clear. There are most likely better methods of finishing out there, but this works well for me!

Instead of an update this week, I thought I'd introduce my new thread-storage system for this kit. The cards that it came with weren't working for me, so I purchased a binder and trading card sleeves and cut out index cards to fit. A small update this week, it seems. Being able to see the outline of the tree now makes me happy though. Lots of green thread in my future.

I work weekends and have Mondays off, so I'm usually anticipating more opportunity for stitching come Sunday night. But finding the time to work it in has been getting harder and harder lately . . .

I love them! So cute. And the frames are beautiful too!

I use bobbins (plastic, but mostly cardboard) and label them using stickers. They're stored in two plastic containers. I like to keep track of what colors I have on an inventory sheet. Makes for easy checking and shopping when I start new projects!
