Re: new to group and floor frames

Hi, I use Q snaps and a floor frame. I have the Lowery with side and corner clamp.
I was an one hand stitcher, but since the lowery I stitch 2 hands.
The combination Q snaps and Lowery are great

Thank you very very much for your photo, it shows how it's been used.
my q snaps are 17x8 or 17x11. My main issue was the grip . But I can see it fits. Thank you again

Re: More agonising over a floor stand

You are right, Fizz. I don't think that I have really given the Lowery enough of a chance. So I have bought some diver's weights (2.5 kilos of lead) and had a fiddle with the way I have the whole thing set up, and we'll see if that helps enough. I can buy more lead if needed, and maybe even melt it...

Re: Has anyone seen this version of Q-Snap frames?

Thought I reply to this old topic because I think it's hilarious! Imagine that you sit on the sofa with your legs through it and you must go to the toilet of something or the phone rings. I see myself lying on the floor forgetting that I was strangled in this thing :D But seriously I think the table...

Re: which frame should i buy?

Hello, I just bought a Millenium frame but I was wondering... do you keep the frame in your hand and stitch with the other hand? or is a stand necessary? I ask you this because I am a hold in hand stitcher and never haved worked in a frame/hoop or something.

Re: Do you frame your own work?

I let it framed by a shop that is specialised in framing cross stitch. I buy a mounting board and frame at that shop and they frame it perfectly. The price depends on wich frame and mounting board you choose but its prob. 75-100 dollar (piece 40x45 cm)

Re: Hello from Holland

My favorite designs are the ones from Dimensions. The most are christmas/winter scenes. I have 12 unopend kits from the gold collection waiting to start. For now I am working on a christmas stocking, also from dimensions. I am a 'hold in hands" stitcher. I don't use a hoop, frame or something e...

Re: Washing Finished Projects

I never wash a finished piece because I never get the rinckles out and I think the stitches are flattened when I do. Never had any colours to mingle or stained or whatever. :whoop:
