WIP - Why so many?

I am new to the forum and I and having a lot of fun going through all the topics etc.... What has really amazed me is how many projects some of you are working on AT THE SAME TIME! What's going on? In all my years of enjoying this wonderful craft, I have never worked on more than one thing at a time...

Re: Washing Finished Projects

Well...... As a Cross Stitcher for over 20 years, you can imagine how many things I have washed! Firstly, let me say that I am a DMC fan. I have a stash of over 150 DMC threads now (glad I didn't have to buy them all at once!) I have NEVER had a problem with any of my projects "running" in...

Re: Hello from Australia

Thank you Cockneystitcher, it really is unbelievable what's happening here with the fires, and it's not over yet... more hot weather is due by the weekend. My Mum & Dad are well prepared and should have no problem getting out if the weather turns bad.

Re: My first post! Hi

Yes Terri, Hobbysew is a lot cheaper than Spotlight for DMC threads! But alas, they are all we have without going to Sydney. I have only tried waste canvas once.... MANY years ago. Tried stitching on a sweatshirt, but wasn't pleased with the end result. I am an Aida fan through and through. My curre...

Re: Hello from Australia

Hi Mabel & Slinky, Mabel, I enjoy stitching anything I don't have to frame.... cushions, towel name panels, birth record wall hangings etc. I guess if I can finish the project with some fabric, in my own time at home, with very little cost, I am happy. I am looking forward to sharing some pics o...

Hi Terri.

What a coincidence! We both joined within a day of each other and are both from Wollongong! Love your pictures.... can't wait to see the Giraffe finished!

Hello from Australia

:D Hi everyone. I am a self-confessed "Stitch-a-holic". I have been cross stitching for over 20 years, ever since I got a free kit on a magazine - I was hooked! I love stitching my own designs, however I am VERY BAD at framing, so I tend to stitch things that don't need a frame! I am looki...
