Question re: kit organization
I started the Janlynn Summer Sampler yesterday, with the intention of doing all 4 in the set. I absolutely love the pattern. http://www.123stitch.com/item/Janlynn-Summer-Sampler-Cross-Stitch-Kit/07-2687" target="_blank The problem I'm having is that the kit comes with floss looped through ...

Re: Identifying floss?
I actually usually don't find kits I like a lot but this one is a nativity that I came across and loved it. I almost returned it but lost the receipt, so I would like to still make it work. If I didn't love it, I wouldn't bother with the sorting of thread and I would just buy the pattern separately....

Re: Identifying floss?
I didn't even think of identifying them by the # of strands each one had. I'll look and see if that works tonight. Thanks!
The stocking I'm working on is a Dimensions kit and it's nicely organized on cardboard and labeled.

Identifying floss?
I bought a kit around Christmastime at Hobby Lobby and when I opened it to do it I realized that the thread isn't identified by color, and there are so many similar colors (like grey, slate grey, pebble grey, etc.) that I'm not sure how to determine which is which. How do others handle this?

Sharing some of my stiching - bear with me - I'm new!
I wanted to share a few thing that I've done so far. These are just pictures I've taken to send my mom, so they aren't great quality or anything, but they'll give you an idea of what I've been working on. This was the first thing I worked on when I returned to stitching back in November. Just a smal...

Just wanted to drop in and introduce myself. I'm Kris, and I live in Columbus, Ohio. I love crafting of all types (I'm primarily a scrapbooker) but recently got back into cross stitching after probably 15 years and I'm loving it. I completed an Adventure Time picture for Christmas (from Etsy) and I ...
