Can I ask what count Aida you were using? On 14ct with 2 threads I have got similar fabric show through on my pieces. If you were using 3 threads, was it 11 count? Or if 14ct, then maybe you need to pull the thread a little less tightly. That way you'll get slightly better coverage in areas of high ...

Finished at last! Only 18,081 stitches. Try viewing "Full Screen" and stand back a bit, looks much better. The Aida fabric can be seen through the stitching (in hair) on this photo but this is not so obvious when holding the cloth in hand. Maybe this is the result of pulling only 3 pieces ...
