Re: Cat Sweet Cat - started 04 Jan

Hi everybody, and sorry for being away for so long :) I'm progressing with my pregnancy (out of morning sickness and fatigue period for about a month now, yay!), but not progressing at all with my cat sampler. The most unexpected drawback is an awful numbness and swelling in my fingers - so I'm feel...

Re: Cat Sweet Cat - started 04 Jan

Thank you ladies! This is my first pregnancy and I'm a bit shocked about everything that's happening with me and around me :tizzy:
But it was soooo good to read your congratulations! I will definitely stay in touch :)

Re: Cat Sweet Cat - started 04 Jan

Sorry for being away for so long! I had to suspend all my stitching on account of being unexpectedly pregnant. :whoop: :whoop: :whoop: The drawback here is that somehow every activity where I have to concentrate my eyes (like stitching, coloring, perler etc) makes me sick :( Hopefully I will resume ...

Thanks for your compliments! :)

Here is my progress

Though we have official winter holidays on Jan 1 through 10, I haven't stitched much these last days. Hope to catch up later :)

Cat Sweet Cat - started 04 Jan

My (semi-)big project for this year! Styled to look like vintage samplers. http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j76/Maria_Imasheva/cat-sweet-cat-sampler_zpsauq4krir.jpg Progress this far: http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j76/Maria_Imasheva/cat-sweet-cat_zpswmogkvv7.jpg The design seemed very big to me...

Re: My stitching WIPs

It actually makes a lot of sense, Carole! :)
This mini is based on a video game named Fallout. Fourth installment of this game was released this November and its mascot in a blue-and-yellow suit is all around social networks and Etsy.

Re: My stitching WIPs

Exactly! I'll probably stick to mini projects until next year. Finished the ornament http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j76/Maria_Imasheva/WP_20151211_012_zpslmf40utx.jpg And managed to stitch this cute guy in just three evenings (pretty sure LadyS will recognise him) http://i77.photobucket.com/album...

Bea, your progress is great! Can't wait to see more of it!

(off-topic) Cross stitching is very popular in Russia. Lots of great designers and kits here :)

I love the little snowman, it looks great in the tree!

Re: My stitching WIPs

Wow, thank for the explanation and for the Glossary - it is very instructional, especially the abbreviations. I love the "ribbit" part! Amazing how words evolve (in Russian frogs say "kwa-kwa", written as "ква-ква") . I have looked the Tacky Bob up in Google, it s...

Re: My stitching WIPs

PS. I have stumbled several times upon people mentioning frogs in their stitching. Did I get it right, that it's some kind of a little error, something that a programmer would call a bug?

Re: My stitching WIPs

Thank you, Carole! I have similar feelings about cat designs :) Debby, I've never heard of a Tacky Bob before - will try googling! Pryanik also likes to help me with all my crafts (I actually waste more time on plucking his fur out of the ornament rather than stitching), so it might help a lot. :) T...

Re: Butterfly Watering Can: update 9th Dec.

Lovely project! So delicate and reminds of early spring.

I always leave the boring solid blocks for the days when I feel too numb or tired to do anything creative :)
