Re: how did you start?

Re: Needlepoint

That is looking amazing...I unfortunately don't have the talent to do needle point...I have tried a number of times and no success....SO I envy those who can do it...

Looking forward to seeing the finished work!

Re: My Various Crafts

All of those are amazing. I wish I had the patience to do paper folding like that...(mind you I don't have patience for that art form to begin with)...and the bead work is astounding...All I can do is cross stitch, crochet, and plastic canvas...Thank you so very much for sharing these lovely items. ...

Re: Help - what brand of hoop should I buy?

I haven't tried using the wooden hoops yet...I use a small plastic for smaller projects and larger ones for my bigger projects....It just comes to to what you prefer to use...trial and error mostly....You may find that you like the wooden ones for larger projects and the plastic for small projects.....

Re: Suggestions for a Newbie!!

My suggestion is to sort your thread. And if your pattern calls for 2 strands of the same color, use only one strand but fold it in half and that way when you start your first cross you can just loop through the strand...it makes things a little neater on the back of your pattern.

Re: How do you organize your floss?

I have all of my DMC floss wound on plastic bobbins and have them in the plastic sorting boxes in number order. With fancy colors like the metallic at the very end of the last box. Then when I need colors for specific patterns I can find what I need easily and figure out what I need to buy.

Hello everyone. My name is Lisa. I've been stitching for gosh must be 20+ years...I stopped for a while because my mother in law and I would do it all the time and when she passed I just didn't have the heart to stitch. Then one day I told myself she wouldn't have wanted me to stop doing something I...
