When doing cross stitch whilst sat on settee, I sometimes sit right up to edge of cushion, sometimes I sit right back and sometimes I sit on a dining chair in the kitchen, this results in me having to swop frames. Sorry if I or anyone else have asked before, what length do you cut your thread ? When I see pictures from other stitchers, ( usually where threads have been parked ) their thread seems very long.

Extreme cross country is where you would stitch 1 colour at a time by doing maybe a full page (or more ) of all the chose symbols then using your second colour and doing all the symbols relating to that colour over all the page, then continuing with remainder of colours until page is done. How do you stitchers store your wips to keep your parked threads straight, and how long is your thread. When I get my wip out my parked threads are all kinky and curly.
