Re: 2018 Deliveries & Stash Acquisitions
Mabel thank you so much for the offer. They have already sent me a sample to try. They do sound a bit of a handful. I was thinking of perhaps using a “easier “ silk if there is one! Would you suggest I use spun silk like dinky dyes, rainbow gallery Splendor silks. I heard that Kreinik Silk Mori ...

Re: 2018 Deliveries & Stash Acquisitions
Mabel your silks look gorgeous I am in the process of researching silks as I would like to stitch a HAED design. There are so much types and makes on the market bit confusing. I contacted Silkmills were very helpful and as I would be purchasing a large amount they have given me a generous discount. ...
22 count
I am starting a new project and may need to use 22 count. I called into local shop and they had 22 count hardanger by Zweigart it felt very rigid and the holes hardly visible. I would find it difficult to get it rolled up into the frame. Are there any other types of 22 count fabric suitable for cros...

Needle storage
Hi everyone, I have a large stock of cross stitch needles. There are in a bit of a mix up. Any new project I buy new needles. Needing to do a clear out and a bit of organisation 1. How does everyone store the needles in individual sizes. 2. With loose needles how can you determine the size. Many tha...

Re: Someone help me find my stitchy bug
Don’t worry your stitch bug will return. Don’t put any pressure on yourself. I put my work away so therefore was not staring at it and making me feel guilty and unhappy. Try looking at other people’s work. On You Tube there’s lots of post on beautiful completed cross stitching. Soon you’ll be wantin...

London killings
Its is difficult to say again so soon after Manchester slaughter but I do hope all our members are safe after the tragic circumstances that happened in London on Saturday night.

Re: Hello - I'm new
Welcome, I too am a cat lover and have had many cats come and go. I am distraught when they die, but for you two in a short period of time must have been terrible. One good thing that you can always rely on some cross stitching to keep your mind occupied and hands busy. Looking forward to seeing you...

?what type of border
Looking at starting HAED Tree of Life. I noticed that the border is not even. When the pattern is complete how can you frame it as part of the unsewn material will show. I do not want to stitch with black material. Has anyone attempted this and what did you do. Probably use 25 or 28 count. Many thanks
