Re: Sorted out

Thanks for replies :) Garnet, sounds pretty noisy with all those birds honking, calling & mewing at the same time. Seagulls are a pain aren't they, often think a cat is mewing somewhere but it is the gulls. Neighbour has 3 cats although they are not usually noisy, often wonder if they've got stu...

:whoop: :whoop: :whoop: Totally amazing, cannot believe how quickly you are ding this Vanessa. IT truly does not look like a cross stitch, & even more amazing is the fact it is dark colours. :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce:

Look forward to seeing the lantern too.

Sooo cute & pretty Garnet. How clever to make those tiny things. Have patterns for similar things but not done anything that small. These certainly make you smile. :applesauce: :applesauce: Hope you are feeling better now it is not nearly so hot but I did see on news that Hawarden was warmest pl...

Thank you both. Does take a bit more time with more strands of thread even though only half stitches but final picture make you realise it was worth the struggle. :D

Re: Lakeside Village update 14/8

Thank you both. When next I pick this up will find another route to work through this design. A shame you felt that away about the design Wendy. I do not mind blends or fractionals. There are blends in this & I have done café by the lake - I call it Riviera Café but think proper name is Overlo...

Re: Lakeside Village update 14/8

Thank you both. The humid weather didn't help some nights only did a few stitches but will go back to it later on. Maybe I'll have to move lower & get other colours in before I attempt blue greens & blues again. I was hesitant about the background hills before I bought this & waited abou...

Re: Lakeside Village update 14/8

Thank you both. Yes Wendy 5 strands of thread for the half cross stitch. Some in blue were 4 strands, others 3 strands. It makes the background hills look 'tiered' as in real life. This pic is obviously paler than actual working colours but it shows the various shades of greens & blues. Denim, l...

Re: Lakeside Village updated 14/8

Latest, denim blue at top is 5 strands in half cross stich. There are 3 blues in top section & I have had to put it aside for a while, got headaches doing too much blue & green. Will find something else to do before I pick this up again
