Identifying threads

I have been given some beautiful variegated threads and a shade chart (1-110) by a friend from Aurora, Co. I believe they are hand dyed? The chart and some of the price tags on the threads are from Yarn & Needle in Estes Park and the others are from Leewards. I have no idea if these stores are s...

Thanks, Yes he's ok. Just not up to flying or travelling to such a high altitude at the moment. Fingers crossed for our trip at Easter.

Re: ATC 7 Exchange -Snow or Winter - Sign up Thread

Bit of a problem to report this end. DH not been well this last week so our trip to Colorado scheduled for yesterday is off. This has rather jeopardised my available stitching time but I have just checked the dates and see I have until 26th so still hoping to participate. Will keep you posted if I h...

Re: ATC 7 Exchange -Snow or Winter - Sign up Thread

My design arrived todays after all the performance last week of it turning out not to be in stock. Mines on perforated paper too, but I'm going to attach it to a piece of aida and also use aida to stitch the back with the ATC info. Does that make sense? BTW Mine's NOT a :snowman: snowman! LOL :cold:...

Re: ATC 7 Exchange -Snow or Winter - Sign up Thread

Haven't started mine yet either. I chose something last week, ordered and paid for it - then got an email saying it wouldn't be in stock until this week! I do wish people wouldn't do that. I've told them if it doesn't come this week I want a refund. Meantime I guess I could make a start on the back ...

Re: Mr Men and Little Miss Bingo - Monday's numbers

I've seem to have mislaid my piece of paper that I was marking off my numbers on - I had it earlier this morning too! That will teach me to move it from next to the computer! LOL
I know that yesterday I only had five numbers so it isn't exactly critical that I find it this very minute.

Re: changing aida count size

Another question here then related to this.
If I use 14 instead of 18 count, how much larger will the finished design size be - on 18 count it is 6" square?
Also if I stick to two threads, will I still have sufficient thread in the kit?

Re: Hello fellow stitchers

Hell and welcome from Wales. First I must say how lovely the Carousel and the Eagle are. It never ceases to amaze me how generous cross stitchers are with their time. I too have given away every project I've ever done and realised I have only one VERY small item I've actually made for myself. Even t...

Re: Hello all

Hello and welcome from Wales. I'm not on Facebook but in about five forums/Yahoo groups which I read and contribute to every day - even on holiday. I'm so envious of you having a studio. We are doing some improvements to our house at the moment so hoping that I will at least get somewhere to keep al...

Re: Going to a group stitch session

Thanks for posting the link to the store. Unfortunately the dates don't coincide with either of our trips. I'll try and make time to take a peek in there at some point though as I would love to see what they sell. BTW Have you been to the beautiful stitching store in Breckenridge? They sell the most...

Re: Going to a group stitch session

I am so pleased that you had such a good time and all because I asked you if there were any stores in town! LOL Pleased too that oh was quite supportive and managed to entertain himself. Did you actually get much stitching done, or were you too busy shopping, chatting and admiring each others work? ...

The Guinness Brewery tour is good. I don't drink beer but really enjoyed the all the advertising and memorabilia they had there.
