looks like some kind of fantastic modern art right now! It's going to be lovely though, I hope you get more into the groove with it.

Re: GK The Arab Tent- 6/15/10

That is going to be incredible! I love the painting, but the cross stitch gives it so much depth compared to the prints (suspect the original is nice! 8) ). I have horses as well, and have found it really difficult to get decent charts - they so often have some major conformational fault or their fe...

Re: Now What For Heaven and Earth Designs?????

Maybe HAED could talk to Audible.com - I know they are audible books not charts, but they have a very good anti-piracy set up - the books are not saved to your computer but to your library on the website - and you can download them to your hearts content, but only on 4 different computers and a simi...

I found these: http://www.dracolair.com/noonbasking.html" target="_blank I'm a third of the way through Noon Basking and do intend to do the other 3 in the series (they say its a 5 series but I can't find another one that matches!) The charts are printed out on card as well which is nice. ...

Re: Which brand thread to you prefer? and why?

I usually use DMC, but the kit I'm doing atm is Anchor and I'm finding that they fuzz up really easily, thank god I have some thread heaven as its very much needed imo. Funny isn't it! Anyone else notice that some colours (of any make) usually the darker ones like black and darker browns, seem thinn...

Re: too....much....stuff.....

Ooh that makes me feel a lot better knowing that you lot are chart/kit horders as well!! Totally in love with wrapping bobbins, and it feels so good to someone usually so disorganised to have it so organised! Yes I am very lucky I get to stitch for so long - it keeps my pain levels down as well! Som...

too....much....stuff.....

I've just discovered, from this website, the cross stitch magazines!! Plus I have a have gone bobbin mad realising that having an ordered stash is a very good thing. But now I have way to many potential projects!!!! I don't like doing two or more things at once, so tend to do them one at a time, but...

Re: i've been a bit naughty

I used to have goats and sheep - they are wonderful creatures aren't they!! your's are lovely! Great pics. I also have two shetland ponies, though one would never be able to be out in a field with sheep or goats as he thinks they are fair game and would chase and stomp on them - he tries to do it to...

Re: Update and apology

glad that the back is getting better! Hope that the meds help your tummy - there are lots of herbal remedies out there as well that can work alongside the meds for extra benefit, like slippery elm, aloe vera etc. Glad that they are doing more tests to make sure that everything is being treated as it...

I'm Welsh!!! Says it all. I'm very glad to be in Wales though, hacking out on the roads on a horse with all the bloomin flags around would be a total nightmare!!! Scary things for horses! Kazzi - I used to work in a bookies as well, all through Uni and then a bit between jobs, its a great job in a l...

Re: hello whats everyone stitching

I'm working on a birth sampler at the moment, it's an anchor one so I don't like the threads that much, but its fun to do. Its a train with a different animal in each car! I have a real list of things to do after - am a third through a Dracolair dragon and I plan to do three more of them! Plus I hav...

Re: three quarter stitches?

 Thanks peeps. I'm with you on the chart suggesting now, was worried I'd missed something  I'm doing them with the short arm over for this current project, but had been doing them the other way for my dragon, however I might change for the actual dragon rather than the border as I don't ...

three quarter stitches?

How do you do them? I've always put the short arm over the long diagonal arm and through the middle over it. Then I saw a demo that did the short arm first and the long diagonal over the top, which I thought looked better. But on stitching I found this very difficult to do if there was another stitc...
