Re: In need of hugs

Heya, So sorry for your loss, it does hit hard, but you did the kind loving thing and ended her pain. I hope you can explain that to your grandkids - I think they understand death better than we often give them credit for, and they will understand why it was the best, bravest and kindest thing to do...

Re: Favorite online stash shopping site?

SewandSo for fabric etc as I'm still a novice with the various evenweaves and they have a good selection and good info - they are brilliant service as well. ebay for larger amounts of thread, and there is one seller (Jennymead) who has some nice animal kits, esp cats - the aida that comes with is a ...

How nice to see everyone's real faces!

This is me this morning - riding my horse for the first time since brain surgery in November - a very very good day!

Re: I'm Mighty Peeved!!

Humm, no that's not good is it! Its annoying when you like a pattern and want to sew it, to have such stupid mistakes. I started a birth sampler the other day that I bought as a kit - when I opened it I discovered that it was missing half the chart! I rang the company (luckily it was a British one) ...

Glad you are ok. Must have been very scary. 12 people dead plus the mad bloke - how awful. And so soon after that awful coach crash as well.

She's lovely!

I like the way of mounting her - kinda organic like Gaia herself.

Re: Need a lot of thoughts and prayers

Keri,

So sorry to hear about Chad's accident, you are in my prayers.

Can I send Reiki (distant healing) to both of you? I just need your names to focus it.

Hugs

Re: Update and apology

Bowen is a body work therapy - it works on the fascia over the muscle, small movements over specific spots that are over neurovascular bundles and other energy lines or nodes - the fascia is connected all over the body, so a small vibration in one area can have an affect on another area. Its appears...

Re: Update and apology

That might be the case Mabel, but it could also be a form of a healing crisis - things getting worse before they get better... But pain perception is a very funny thing. Horses are darn dangerous things aren't they?? I've got so many creaks and scars from them, mind you, usually from doing something...

Re: Update and apology

Hi Mabel, I'm new here, but wanted to say I'm so sorry to hear you've been having problems, and I hope that the tummy troubles are sorted soon. You may well find that the Bowen therapy helps the tummy as well though, it triggers the body into healing itself, so can help all kinds of problems, not ju...

Re: Cafe' La Frog

Can't believe it - have to do the most frogging EVER - my whole yellow dragon is in the wrong place, either that or the border and that's not happening - silver lining is that there were bits of him I wasn't over the moon about. But pants. See - all of him has to go!!!  http://i11.pho...

Re: Has the Postperson brought you anything fun 2010!!!!

Bad SewandSo - bad!! Worse than Bad Amazon!! Yet more goodies coming my way - a birth sampler for my friend who is about to pop, some thread heaven as now I'm playing with metallics, and another design I have forgotten what it is, shows you should NOT shop late at night!! Given its SewandSo it will ...

Re: What do you do with your stitchery?

 Thank you!

Do you frame them yourselves or do you get it done professionally? I'm afraid that in general I give my friends/family the piece unframed or stretched, most do get them framed, but I do have to do the zebra and griaffes myself, and am a bit scared!!

Re: Cafe' La Frog

I'm glad in a sick kinda way that I'm not the only one who has had to unpick work, and now learning that its called frogging is brilliant!! I'm usually pretty determined to keep things right, so will happily (no wrong word!!) frog bits if I've done wrong - I'm a perfectionist. But in my latest work ...

What do you do with your stitchery?

Heya, Newbie here. I was wondering what everyone did with their finished pieces? Do you keep them for yourselves or give them to other people? Do you feel different stitching for someone else than yourself? I tend to feel more motivated doing it for someone else, but am rapidly running out of family...

Hi from Wales

Hiya, I found this forum by showing an elderly American relative how you would find forums on various subjects, otherwise I'd never have found it!! So cool. I'm Niki, I'm 38 and live in Wales, UK. I have 3 horses, one big one, two tiny ones! I've been cross stitching for over a year now, I do it obs...
