Re: Christmas Stitching 2010

Mine isn't really a Christmas design, more of a winter design. I am doing it instead of my Noah's Ark right now because it looks like it will stitch up quick and I am a little bit intimidated by my Noah's Ark at the moment. Scroll to the bottom to see the one I am doing http://www.suehillisdesigns.n...

Re: larger pieces of aida

The local store where I go always sells Aida off the roll. They have at least 20 different rolls and if they don't have your color/size, they will order in a roll or piece for you.

Getting rid of creases

I bought a piece of pre cut fabric a few days ago to start a small Christmas piece. It was folded so it has creases in it. The crease won't be covered by stitches. Should I get the crease out before I start stitching or can it wait until the piece is finished? How should I get the creases out?

Re: Question about storage

Thanks again for all the replies. I don't think Jo Ann's is up here. See all the cool stuff we miss out on lol

I will definitely be visiting it in just a few short days. I have a feeling I will be coming home with quite a pile of stash.

Re: Noah's Ark W.I.P.

Well, here is my first update. It's not much but it's a start. This is from the middle of the picture and the leopards will go into the blank space. The fabric in the top picture looks really weird but I promise you it is Aida 16 count in a light blue color. Also, how do I edit the title of the threa...

Re: Question about storage

Thanks for the quick reply. I will be going to Fargo, ND next week for a few days. That picture is pretty close to exactly what I want. Unfortunately, I don't have a credit card so any online ordering is out of the question for me. That's probably a good thing, since I have seen so many patterns tha...

Re: Things you learned from your first cross stitch project

When I started my first cross stitch I didn't realise the stitches were supposed to be right next to each other, I left a square in between each stitch. I soon realised it didn't look right and started again! My daughter did this exact thing just a few days ago. She got a small kit for Christmas an...

Question about storage

This question is mainly for the US stitchers. I live in Canada but am heading down south in a few days for a quick shopping trip. For those of you who use bobbins and the bobbin storage box (the clear plastic one) where did you buy them? I currently use a ziploc bag to keep my threads in but I want ...

Re: Noah's Ark W.I.P.

It will be my first time working with it so I hope I don't have too many problems. I have read the threads here for tips and also have a few from the lady who owns the shop whe...

Noah's Ark W.I.P. *Update August 28*

I am new to these boards so if nobody decides to check in I'll understand  I have had this pattern for a few years and have always thought it was too daunting. After seeing some of the projects people are working on, I think I can handle it. It is stitched on Aida cloth 16ct. Sorry, I don't kn...
