Re: Funny things kids say and do

Lol. That’s too funny. The other day my 4 year old daughter and I were watching Cinderella. First time for both of us. We got to the part where they ripped her dress and I had to explain why. She goes “that’s mean. I’ll fight them!” with such conviction and I couldn’t help but laugh.

Re: HAED Merry Christmas To All *Update September 4th*

:applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce: It’s good to be able to adjust to a new system of stitching before getting into a lot of confetti, which I’m sure you will. Two handed stitching is not only faster, but I find it’s much easier on my arm also. Carole  That’s what I found is that my shoul...

Re: HAED Merry Christmas To All *Update August 7th*

Halfway done the first page. I have also bought a q-snap and I absolutely love it. Also I have gotten into two handed stitching and it is making things much quicker and easier.

Two handed stitching. Tell me about it.

I’ve been wondering how people do it lately. Does your dominate hand go on the back? Is it faster? If not for a four year old I would consider getting a stand and doing it.

So tell me about if you do, trials and tribulations and all that.

Re: HAED Merry Christmas To All *Update July 27th*

Welcome Back! It is really good to "see" you again! When you wrote your daughter is now 4 y.o. I thought OMG I remember when you were posting about getting married. Sounds like you are happy to be back stitching. And are making progress. Crossing off or highlighting what you've stitched i...

Re: HAED Merry Christmas To All *Update Oct 24th*

Newest update. This gets easier as the kid gets older to work on these projects. She’s now 4 and after doing a few crochet projects I’m back to stitching for a little bit. I ventured out and did the whole page across. Was nervous af first but I always triple count things and I also printed out the s...

It really does. I thought it was a huge stretch but it’s not that bad at all. Especially seeing as it’s the background it’s no big deal. I’ve gone farther on my tiger before. Lol.

Re: HAED Merry Christmas To All *Update Oct 5th*

Here is the latest. It’s so relaxing when I finally get to it. Between full time job, 3 year old, and studying I need this relaxation time. Anything to drown out some of those kids shows. Oy. Also I really need to buy a working lamp again and hopefully that will give me better photos and portability...

Re: HAED Merry Christmas To All *Update Oct 5th*

:applesauce: Good progress. I also noticed which I hadn't before that you decided to start on page 1 in the corner as suggested by HAED. I thought you had said you were going to begin in the middle as most patterns suggest. I only know of one stitcher (years ago) on the forum who actually did that....

Re: HAED Merry Christmas To All *Update Sept 23*

The latest. Not the greatest pic but I had to bring out my DSLR cause my phone wouldn’t take a good enough photo. Also it’ll probably help when I get a working light. My daughter decided to use the last one to play with smh.

Welcome back. Eager to see your stitching Again. What a rough go you had of it. I’ve been there too and it seems like around the time of moving that’s when everyone wants a payment for something. Glad you’re on the other side of it.

HAED Merry Christmas To All *Update September 4th*

This is my first time doing an HAED and I’m so excited. I’ve had this one in my stash for waaay too long and the stitch’s bug has bit again. I’m in love with Christmas and I start thinking about it in June lol. I’ve only worked on this the past couple nights and it’s only one colour so far but it’s ...

Re: How do you hold your larger projects? Like HAED

As crazy as it seems I have never had a problem with the hoops leaving any marks on the fabrics and I am very bad about not removing a project from a hoop when I'm done stitching for the day. I leave the hoop on until I switch to a different project or am moving the hoop to stitch a new or expanded...

How do you hold your larger projects? Like HAED

I’m curious to know others methods. Mine is huuuuge. So I’m using a 10” hoop with the parts to the right and bottom rolled up and using two binder clips to hold up the excess fabric.
