Re: DMC snow queen fairy *have put it down for a bit*

Here are current photo's though!! http://i901.photobucket.com/albums/ac218/aj1981/aj%20cross%20stitch%20progress%20album/upload21stnovember2010065.jpg http://i901.photobucket.com/albums/ac218/aj1981/aj%20cross%20stitch%20pro...

Re: DMC snow queen fairy

I'm lusting after this design now! Its absolutely gorgeous. It looks like its done on a linen/evenweave over one? is that right (I'm still trying to get my head round the over1/over 2 stuff :P) is that what came with the kit or is it something youve substituted. Youve done lots already and your sti...

The piece I did for my mum for christmas

Not a brilliant picture as it was taken on my mobile phone lol.

I had it framed 3 days after this piece was finished and mum loved it!

Copyright question

Can I ask a question?? If I find a picture on the internet that I like, am I allowed to convert it into a chart to stitch for my own use? I wouldn't be passing the chart onto anyone else, just stitching it then destroying the chart. Have seen a few pictures recently that I would love to stitch but d...

That looks lovely!! I may have to have a go at lacing mine up to frame it when I have finished it, having seen yours laced it spurs me to try it myself! Well done!!

Re: Is it just me? (Having a bit of a moan!)

I had the same problem last year. Trying to get one piece finished intime for a dear friends birthday at the end of September and then getting a piece done before the end of November for mum so that I could get in framed and everything in time for christmas. I have decided this year though, that I a...

Re: UFO Club (1st - 7th every month)

I think I am going to have to join the UFO challenge for November! There are a few UFO's in the ottoman that I could do with getting out and finishing. The main one though I think will be the mermaid that I started ages ago. Think it is a Joan Elliott one, not 100% certain on that though.

Same as me on this one. Saves trying to make the decision as to which colour is supposed to be the most prominent lol.

Re: Pre sorted threads In Kits

I also do the bobbin thing when it is kits. When it is a piece where I am simply using a chart and have bought the skeins myself, I have got 3 stacker boxes each with 3 tiers of 12 sections in. Each section has a different number in the bottom and the skeins are individually sorted. I have one box f...

Re: Washing Finished Projects

This is a very useful thread!! I tend to hand wash mine in hand warm water with a small squirt of non-bio laundry detergent to get the marks off. I worry about machine washing them as I would be heart broken if it were to get damaged after I ahev spent ages doing the piece.

Re: Hi there!

Wow, thank you for the warm welcome!!!

My current piece is a DMC kit from the Faery Art Collection. I am working on the SNOW QUEEN FAIRY at the minute, which, apart from the satins and metallics (must get some thread heaven stuff), I am thoroughly enjoying!!

Hi there!

I am a loopy 29 year old mum of 3 who has been stitching for almost 17 years on and off. More off than on over the years, but I decided 18 months ago to start it up again. I don't have many pieces to my name, only 2, but I am trying to get the UFO's finished at some point and have a piece in progres...
