Re: Reverse side

OMG - a bird's nest...that IS so funny!! I agree with Carole though and several others. Stitching is something to be enjoyed and as long as you can carry without getting tangled up in stitches coming through the front and you are going to frame it, then go for it! Too many years I stitched for every...

Re: Introducing myself...

Welcome! I'm Beck from TN and I should be working on cat projects...I have a lot of little cat visitors that are strays that come from time to time. Might be my birdfeeder on my porch! I started stitching about 20 years ago and just now took it back up in the last few months. I'm working on a HAED -...

Re: Micheals

I'm not surprised at Michael's having issues like that...I loved their selection a long time ago when there was still MJDesigns as their competition but not for a while now. I converted completely over to Hobby Lobby if I need something right away and my LNS doesn't have it or it's something that HL...

Carole, a special thank you for suggesting it! I have a new camera on my phone and know it will get lots of use especially for this. Seeing the progress everyone is making is so much fun!

Re: I'm really one of you now...

Very exciting news. Michele was indeed a big help and I am so glad I'm losing weight...I will continue to lose weight if I keep spending "eating out" money on floss for HAEDs, etc. lol. That's ok by me...I'm excited to be starting as soon as my 123 Stitch order gets here and it really is b...

Very inspirational! I am certainly more interested in trying Hardanger now that I've seen something I can do and that is more than just a practice piece. Thanks!

Re: I'm really one of you now...

Carole, thanks! I will do just that. I really would like to start this since I'm starting over cross stitching and wanted something special for Easter (or Christmas, since I'm kinda slow, lol!)

I am just excited to be stitching again at all. I didn't realize how much I missed it.

Re: I'm really one of you now...Boy, do I feel stupid!

Ladies, I cannot feel more inept. I had decided I would treat myself to the Mary Praying (not the mini either) and instead of downloading it AFTER my Adobe install, I tried it apparently both at the same time...and LOST the download...if it ever started. All I know is that when I went back to the or...

Enablers you are! I had been wanting Elements Brown for a while and Mary Praying is just lovely...I haven't given in yet as I just started a new temp job...but it's hard not to do it. Must.....look....away....ha! I am happy so many of us here like HAED too. :-)

How do you measure progress?

I see where some people count stitches - and I wonder if anyone here stitches things...i.e., a tree in a pattern, a doorway, etc. or how anyone else here measures progress (I heard that alternative somewhere). I used to only think in terms of how long I stitched per day but am liking some of these o...

Re: i am completely DONE

I am a Q gal too. I had/have a frame and scrolls but don't use them since it makes my back hurt to lean over or sit in one spot very long. Not to mention my projects have gotten smaller! I quit stitching all together after my divorce...it was somewhat due to money since I had to see some of my most ...

Re: Max's Moon

How cute! Stitching on dark fabric seems challenging...what do you do special in order to see the holes? Maybe I'm the only one who would have trouble seeing them!
