Re: Happy Forumversary, JA Fan
Oh, my goodness. Thank-you for remembering me. As you can see, by the length of time that's passed since this was posted, I don't visit very often. But I do look in from time to time even though I don't post much. I'm still cross stitching. Albeit slowly. I don't have the time to do it as much as I ...

Re: Glen Campbell - RIP
I was lucky to be able to see Glen Campbell in Aberdeen, Scotland during his Goodbye Tour in 2011. It must have taken a great deal of courage for him to be on stage. Members of his family were there to help and guide him as his condition was evident especially during the latter half of the concert. ...

Re: How to serve milk in tea a controversy?
Golly. You learn something new every day. So that’s why the milk went in first! I'm British born and was brought up to always put the milk in before the tea, although I didn’t know why and didn’t ask either! I just accepted it. When I moved to Canada, it seemed everyone was putting the milk in after...

Re: Where has everyone gone?
JA Fan here. I have to admit from being absent from the forum for a couple of years. We moved house almost two years ago which was a big upheaval for me. Not only leaving a home we had lived in for 26 years, and brought our children up in, but we moved to a completely different area. A lot more rura...

I've been away from the forum for a while and one of the first things I read was this. I'm so very, very sorry for your loss, Carole. It's brought tears to my eyes. :( I considered Shirley a member of the forum as she was nearly always in your progress pics 'helping' you with your stitching along wi...

Re: DO NOT EVER ORDER FROM SILKWEAVERS/NEEDLEWORKS DELIGHT
It seems their fabric is forever on back order. I had a similar problem with them and posted about it in July. I waited 15 weeks for my fabric and during that time exchanged several e-mails with them. I wasn't in any hurry for mine, but that is not the point. Customers want reliable and prompt servi...

I did Devoted Soulmates from Kustom Krafts -- see link below. Due to time restraints, (it was for a gift) I had to leave off some of it. But it still came out well. If you check my gallery, there is a picture of it finished and after framing. http://kustomkrafts.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_...

What an absolutely lovely sister you are to go the extra mile for your brother.
And what a lovely brother you have to go the extra mile for his girlfriend.
it's enough to make my heart melt!

Re: When do you stop being a beginner?
I would agree with all that's been said so far. A couple of things to add. Cross stitch charts are made in all different ways depending on the companies. So If you feel comfortable following any cross stitch chart, and can get yourself out of mistakes in your stitching without asking for help, then ...

You know how to whistle, don't you, Steve? You just put your lips together and... blow. She said those words in her very first film role, and they remained one of those memorable movie moments that have been quoted many times since. I'd like to think she's having a wonderful reunion with Bogie now. ...

What a great shame. He had such a talent.
I remember him when he was just starting out on TV in the whacky Mork and Mindy.
RIP. Mr. Williams. You'll be missed.

Re: Piracy in Cross Stitch
A couple of years ago I was browsing a site when I saw, what I instantly recognized as, charts from Kustom Krafts. Thats when I realized it was a pirate site. I e-mailed Kustom Krafts to tell them of it. They sent me a really nice reply and thanked me for bringing it to their attention. All of their...
Re: MH17
I've read that some of the bodies may never be found, and I really feel for the relatives of the victims in this tragedy. They must be going through unbearable anguish. Not only for losing a loved one, but for not knowing whether they will have them returned to them for burial or not. Because of tha...

Another word about Silkweavers . . A long wait for fabric!
Some may remember a thread posted by maemae0410 asking about members experiences with Silkweavers, (link below) I posted that I had just ordered some fabric from them. That was in March. Two days ago I finally received my fabric. 15 weeks after ordering it!! That's nearly four months. It mus...

Sounds like you had a great day! I'm sorry about the cramps though. That wouldn't be any fun, that's for sure.
