Re: Hi! Newbie Stitcher Here... =)
When I started cross stitching again I found not as much as I did years ago but there are so many great sites to find patterns, books and supplies. Welcome and good luck with the baby.

Re: Garden of Miracles - Updated 09/26/11
I have never used evenweave fabric but recently bought some. I am hoping it goes well when I get ready to use it.
Re: Update
So glad you are doing better. Is there any kind of therapy for your fingers so you can stitch again? Just thinkin and hoping there is something.

Re: Aida/Evenweave
I have never used evenweave in all my years of stitching but have found that aida does get really soft especially if doing a large piece. I am determined to use evenweave just to see what all the fuss is about.

I am right handed and do it this way also. I start my piece in the very middle though.corby_stitcher wrote:I do it this way, - /////// followed by \\\\\\\\\ i find it easier this way being left handed.

Hello from Ohio
My name is Darlene and I live in Columbus. I have been x stitching off and on for over 30 years. I recently had cataract surgery and have gotten back into it. Now that I can see it is a breeze .
I also do quilting, crochet, a lot of reading. Thanks for having me in your lovely forum.
