Hi- I did this a few years back for my great niece and didn't have a problem with the thread. It came out great. I had it framed in a lovely wooden frame just like the one it's advertised with and it was gratefully received by the parents. Lovely stitching.

Oh yes what a good idea. I never thought of that and I've lots of floss in my stash. The brown just seemed too harsh. Thanks so much. Got to get a move on with it if it's to be ready in February.

Oh dear snakes give me the creeps but last Sunday whilst walking Bo our lab in local woods we found an abandoned pet rat. I threw a dog biscuit down to see if he was tame and he grabbed it.
