Re: Mrs MBK's Operation Threadporn Plum Pudding Complete 8/5

:whoop: I  your finish on Plum Pudding. When I was stitching (I've totally lacked any motivation to pick up a needle to work on any project recently) I was really unhappy with the Moonie Ponds motifs and struggling to work out a better way to stitch them but your's have stitched up beautifully.

Re: Mrs MBK's Operation Threadporn for March

Wow, love the way you started Plum Pudding, looks totally different to mine just due to having different areas stitched.

Love the other projects as well :applesauce:

Re: I know this is a longshot...DMC Needed!

Wow that must be a really old chart, as the DMC shopper's list I have from 2009 doesn't have any of those numbers listed on it. Perhaps you can work out which colour each one was and match it to the current numbers Both 123 Stitch and SewandSo have them listed still on their websites 123 Stitch Sew ...

I'm not going this year. I'm on a stash ban and I feel as if I've seen it all before.

Re: kimkat_tkl's 2015 SAL

Wow! 2 finishes already in 2015! My second finish is Alessandra Adelaide Needleworks - Soffia. As soon as I saw this design, I pictured it in green and white on a blue background so I'm very happy that my finish has captured just that. I'm also very pleased that I decided to go with beads instead of...

Re: kimkat_tkl's 2015 SAL

So the first finish of 2015 was the Seba Designs - 2014 Freedom SAL. The premise for the design was you were given the outside frame and the blocks to fill it but you positioned the blocks where you wanted them, as well as choosing colours, fabric etc. Stitched on a Colour Cascades Fabric studio ses...

kimkat_tkl's 2015 SAL

I'm starting this thread to keep track of the progress of my work this year. This year's goal was to work off the two lists I came up with - A Potential New Starts List and a Started Projects List and not buy new stash. Everything that I put on the new starts list I had been wanting to do for a whil...

Re: Glendon Place Amazing Desserts SAL - Ptp's List Posted

Great to see another Plum Pudding in progress, I've been working on mine as well. Stitched with the suggested threads on one of Colour Cascades Monthly Melody pieces from last year. http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/kk134/kimkat_tkl/Current%20WIP%20and%20Finished%20Projects/Glendon%20Place%20Amazin...

Looks great Debby! How are you finding deciding which path you take your stitches? Are you completing each stitch as you go?

Re: stitching over two

When working over two, I'm continuously thinking 'skip one hole'. What this means for a single cross: Come up through hole at bottom left of cross, skip a hole on diagonal, down next hole on diagonal (to form / ) Skip one hole down, come up next hole down for bottom right of cross, skip a hole on di...

Re: Stitching New Year Resolutions or Wishlist.

So recently I've been very naughty with my spending so next year I want to work off a list of projects that I already have kitted up as well and any WIP/SWIP that I've got started. Current WIPs: Blackwork Journey - Save The Stitches Colour Version & White Version Seba Designs - Freedom 2014 SAL ...

Re: Almost a cyclone they said.

Pleased to report that I survived that freak of a storm reasonably unscathed. I had seen it coming on the radar, and flew out of work in an attempt to beat it home. Was just a street away when the rain started, so got absolutely drenched when I had to open the garage door and we lost power within 5 ...

Re: 25% off Sale

Twisted Rainbow Sampler jumped into my stash as well. It seemed fate as last week I received my threads from Thread Pickerz and my fabric was posted on Friday (hopefully it will be in the letterbox when I get home today :x: ) for both the band samplers, all I was missing was the chart for the rainbo...

Re: Has the Postman brought you anything fun in 2014

A lovely friend of mine RAKed me a £50 gift voucher for Thread Pickerz which allowed me to purchase the Rainbow and Sparkling Prism packs of silks, and on Monday night I came home to find them sitting in the letterbox. Which was quite appropriate because I had just had a stitchy day with this frien...

Re: Has the Postman brought you anything fun in 2014

Finally, 2 months after ordering, my AAN charts 'Soffia' and 'CT99' and Northern Expressions 'Twisted Band Sampler' arrived. It was the first time I used the company I ordered from as they had a discount offer for members of the AAN facebook group and it will be the last time. About a month after I ...

Re: Enlarging a project

Another option would be to stitch over two on the 14 count - if you didn't mind the crosses being quite large, and you would most likely need to use 6 strands of threads to get a reasonable coverage.
