Re: I'm thinking of buying a Seat frame
I purchased one several years ago ..... it hurt my leg so I got rid of it. I'm back to stitching using my hoop.

Re: Questions for those who wind their thread onto card
I do not use a winder. I do like Rose and find winding my thread on the cardboard bobbins quite relaxing while watching tv at night. I have purchased plastic bobbins but sometimes the little slots in the side of the bobbin are too wide and the threads come loose so I stay with the cardboard.

Re: Prewashing aida cloth
I tried it once after reading some of the comments on this thread & the aida came out worse than before. Still stiff & wrinkled. I tried steam ironing it and nothing worked for me. It came in a kit so maybe the aida wasn't a good quality to begin with.

Re: Edges while stitching?
I agree w/Rose------whatever works for you. I usually zig-zag on my sewing machine. Right now I'm working on a project that required more stabilzation so I used fra-check and also some surgical tape because of the type of evenweave I was using.

Re: Advice on Railroading??
Hello all....I've been xstitching for many years and thought I knew it all but after discovering this site & learned about RR my stitching looks so much better. Yes, it slowed me down at first but now I can stitch at a pretty good pace and it just comes natural for me now.

Re: Is it my imagination?
While we are on the subject of "thin" floss I recently purchased a kit (Bucilla) and have replaced all of the floss with my DMC floss. I thought the thread that came with the kit was inferior and did not cover well. Will never buy a kit again. Just stick to patterns and use my own DMC.

Re: Is it my imagination?
I'm doing some backstitching at this moment using DMC 3031 and it is also thin.
