Re: Nearly caused a riot!
Oh my. I would have fallen out and/or probably cried. Or screeched to the high heavens. Maybe all three :P I could so see my DH doing this in a "cleaning" fit, so I read him your post. He had the nerve to say that because I turn down the ear of the pages with patterns I want to stitch, he'...

Re: Stitchy related New Years Resolutions!!!
I'd like any new starts to come from stash. I collected an awful lot of charts in 2013. A number of them are already kitted.

Re: laptop/tablet OT
I use both. There are aspects of the tablet that I like, such as being able to enlarge and resize. For confetti heavy places it's great. But I'm not completely sold on using it. I still make a working copy of my chart and more often than not, I'll work from paper.

Re: How do you organize your floss?
I'll admit to the satisfaction I get from winding floss on a bobbin. DMC is bobbed and stored in plastic bobbin boxes. I keep my specialty threads in floss-away-bags which are stored by type (Gloriana, Waterlillies, Threadworx, Dinky Dyes, etc..) in lovely little cardboard boxes. I enjoy sorting and...

Re: Which is the best cross stitch magazine?
I think it's a good idea to browse the magazines at your local bookstores and hobby stores. I did this for almost 2 years, buying only those magazines that actually had designs I would stitch. After realizing that I had more Crossstitch and Needlework mags than any other, I got a subscription. I lik...

Re: What draws you in..everytime
Great question! I am particularly drawn to flowers and nature scenes, landscapes, forests. Color schemes guaranteed to grab my attention, regardless of subject matter, are shades of gorgeous reds and beautiful blues.

Re: Changes coming.
I joined this forum a little over a year ago. I don't post everyday, but very rarely do I let a day go by without stopping through. Thank you Rose for all the hard work you've done in making this the forum the best place on the net for stitchers. I'm sure it hasn't been easy. But when something we l...
