Re: Has the Postman brought you anything fun in 2014

Cute pattern Debby! And I bought stretcher bars for my Wysocki needlepoint yesterday, from one of the stores I found searching for a LNS before your first visit! The ladies at the needlepoint store offered to help me if I have any problems. :-)

Re: Has the Postman brought you anything fun in 2014

So I made a bid on Ebay for this Charles Wysocki kit after seeing a pic on Facebook of another CW piece...but it wasn't until after I made the bid that I saw it was needlepoint and not cross stitch (Dimensions made both types of kits in the 80s). And of course I ended up winning the auction because ...

Great work so far! I love how quickly L*K ornaments stitch up. They make great quick gifts that way.

Re: 2014 Mini Projects

Here are the 3 ornaments I finished for the teachers & director at my daughter's daycare. They could've been better...some of my mounting board cuts weren't straight or the stitched piece isn't perfectly straight on them but I know they'll enjoy them. All L*K Tiny Tidings patterns. http://s8.pos...

Re: Christmas Carols

I also refuse to listen to Christmas music in my car or at home until the day after Thanksgiving, and the last day to listen is Christmas day. I agree! And add 2 more to my dislikes: All I want for Xmas is my 2 front teeth and I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas. I'll change the radio station if th...

Tiny ornament tutorial using bottle cap ring

Found this on Pinterest and thought it was interesting, though I don't think I'd ever try it.

Re: Christmas Carols

Favorites: Carol of the Bells and Sleigh Ride, though I also like all of the classics by Crosby, etc.

Dislikes: Feliz Navidad, Blue Christmas (Elvis), and songs that really aren't related to xmas, like Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring. I like the song but it's not xmas.

Re: 2014 Mini Projects

Everyone is doing some amazing minis! Mabel, you're speedy at those hardanger pieces! Here are some that I finished recently. The first 2 are ornaments for family members, both L*K designs. I like the Silent Night owl on navy fabric but it was hard to chose how to finish it...not exactly happy with ...

Re: LHN Needleworker 12-8-14

Great start on a nice pattern. I would have done the same thing with the different variations of floss. I've worked with a scroll frame before so I know your frustration, and I imagine the fact that you're using linen might have made it worse. That linen is slippery, wiggly stuff, but it looks good!...

Mrs. Claus' Merry Dresses (by LastingAllure) - 8 Dec

I purchased this design from Shannon (aka LastingAllure) in her Etsy store. Here's a pic of the whole piece: http://s4.postimg.org/941ej76j1/Capture.jpg image hosting free From left to right, there's her winter coat, her baking apron, and her knitting dress. So far, I've stitched up the baking apron...
