Thank you so much for the tip Jo! Yes I may have to look into getting a layering tool from somewhere my stitches aren't perfect but I'm hoping they'll get better as I go along and get a rhythm going

My kits arrived from Lithuania (I had been keeping an eye on the tracking and wasn't expecting them for another week) so happy dance when I heard the letterbox ...

I hope this is allowed if not feel free to delete. I have two twists of DMC light effects E3852 which came out of a kit but I don't need and will get binned. If anyone wants them I will be quite happy to post in a wee envelope. I thought with Christmas stitching beginning or very near the horizon so...

Meanwhile I've been stitching this one 'Crackers about Cheese'...

I just took the needle out and the hole is sufficiently large enough for me to see where it is

When you have your fabric all sorted and on the frame but no kit as it's still on its journey from Lithuania :tizzy: :roll: I managed to get the stitch count from looking at the stock photo, the needle is marking the centre point with excess material rolled up at the bottom. https://i.ibb.co/X7NC7PT...

All your projects are looking wonderful Jo. Some complicated stitches in the motorcycle one it looks like but you're fairly getting on with it!

What a horrible situation and thank goodness you managed to get it all sorted! I work for the Post Office as part of my job and whilst I do love it and enjoy the regular customers I feel sorry for those who come in who have either not received a parcel they were waiting for or someone hasn't receive...
