Are those colours suggestions Madeira or Anchor shades?
You could use a transparent thread which wouldn't show through a gold bead.

I can see why it's a challenge to your eyesight.
The shading on the green is so subtle, but so life like. :dance:

Take time to rest your eyes and do some middle and distance focusing to relax your eye muscles and vision.

Goodness, it arrived faster than I thought. :dance: I do like Quaker cloth. Not as 'slubby' as linen and a bit softer. I think it'll look great in the Rosewood Manor Sampler :applesauce: So pleased that the fabric has found a good home. It's been lurking too long at the bottom of my fabric box. :oops:

Well we escaped the worst of the floods and high winds Scotland has been subjected to.... BUT.... I have now tested positive for COVID :tantrum: :doh: So far both D/H and I have escaped despite being in close contact recently with the dreaded lurgy. I've taken up the isolation bed in the far corner....
