Re: Probably an unpopular opinion

I'm not a HAED fan myself, and i doubt I will ever stitch, for the simple reason that they're too large. The artwork is very nice, some I like, some I don't. To that point, I'd rather have the artwork initself rather to stitch it. **groan** Anyway, hopefully tragedyackt can sort things out. B...

Re: I'm Back!

long time no see! I think it's been like a year that you were here last, or so it seems.. I have done next to nothing in cross stitch, although I have been crocheting a lot, even joined Ravelry, which has helped me inmensely (I'm pixie56 there). Read my blog if and when you get the time. BTW,...

Re: Please forgive my ignorance: difference between SAL and WIP?

Now I'm confused. It appears that we use SAL on this site for something we're working on and want to share the progress in pictures, not necessarily something more than one person is stitching. I actually said something about that, when Alex put it up, but I guess he either never read it, or just p...

Re: Please forgive my ignorance: difference between SAL and WIP?

SAL: these are the initials of the words " Stich-A.Long", which means when a group of people get together, usually on-line, to stitch a project at the same time, usually it's the same design, although sometimes it can be a different one. WIP: these are the initials for the words " Wor...

Re: anyone here got windows 7???

I don't think I have windows 7, but then I don't think very well ...he he
anyway, as far as I know, Adobe is constantly updating their stuff, and if you can't get it to work, then go to their website and I'm sure you can find some help there. I've done it before, and found it useful.
HTH!

ooohhh! Thank you! I was trying to find the website, but couldn't ! I already have the first 2 months stashed away, so this "jonquil" or daffodil is just perfect!
(didn't know that they were also called that, besides narcissus)

Re: Over emotional as we age

actually, for me, it's the other way around: I was quite emotional when younger, but now, at over 50, much less so. (Thank goodness!) I have enough with the hot flushes, really don't need those emotional see-saws.

Thanks, Agi! I made 2 pairs of those gloves, one for me and the other for my DD. I never thought I would wear them, but they are great for when you're on the computer.

Re: o/t crochet (the art of) - the mystery deepens...

how awful, stopping publication! Especially since it was such a success! I insist, these people should go digital with their magazines, would save sooo much in so many ways. I've seen loads of "tutorials" or how to's on the net, and Annie's Attic springs to mind (I used to go there daily f...
