Looking for a cross stitch travel bag I can't find

I'm an avid cross stitcher and 24 years ago there was a little cross stitch store in a Salem Oregon and they had these wonderful cross stitch bag that folded up and had rows were you could put your DMC floss so you could see them at a glance (inside), a slot in the front for your project and zippered compartments inside to put other things. They were made of fabric and plastic and were secured at the top by velcro strap and handles. I love my bag but it's finally worn out and I can't find anything online similar to this bag. I would by 3 or 4 for gifts if anyone knows where I can buy it. It has a tag that has a flag and USA but there is no company name. I would try to sew something like this but I think you need a heavy duty machine to sew the plastic, it's a heavy duty plastic and has lasted 24 years! It's pretty banged up though! Any help would be appreciated. Or if anyone out there knows of something similar. I can send photos. I've looked all over the internet and can't find anything that comes close to it, I've seen the DMC and Stitchbow one's but nothing like what I bought.

If you want to sew something similar have you considered a mesh fabric (e.g. nylon mesh) rather than plastic? It probably won't be as heavy duty but you should be able to find some fairly sheer mesh fabrics and you could use your standard sewing machine with them.

I'd like to see pictures of what you have.

Your sewing machine might surprise you if you use a heavy-duty needle and sew slowly. I like the mesh idea, though.
