Charts for exchange or the taking.

Post by noctifyre »

Hey all, have some charts I will never stitch and therefor am looking to send them off to someone else who would.

I will try and provide images when/if I can... First nine are from WOXS 196.

---

1) Snowy days - Tatty Teddy
2) Christmas is coming - Advent calender by Gail Bussi (features two mice decorating on either side of a winter house scene and the first lines from The Night Before Christmas)
3) Home for Christmas - Winter Cottage, "Escape to a winter wonderland with Michael Powell's festive cottage design"
4) Sugar & Spice - Gingerbread House, "Help yourself to this sweet and irresistible design from Joan Elliott - it's a Christmas treat like none other!"
5) In the nursery - Design Library/30 vintage nursery designs
6) A warm welcome - Wreath made of holly leaves and berries with an orange bow to top it off and a centered message of Merry Christmas.
7) Trim the tree - snowflake Blackwork Baubles (Ornaments)
8) Cupcake of the Month - festive with a christmas-y feel.
9) Furry Tales - girl mouse in green dress mailing a letter
10) Floral Quartet: - "Pretty pink geraniums and petunias, purple pansies and blue primulas"
11) Friends in the snow - Popcorn and Souffle (+ snowman)
12) A warm welcome - snowman on one side, a snow-covered house on the other, along with 'A Warm Christmas Welcome' make up this photo banner
13) By the sea - All Our Yesterdays
14) Le Cafe Choco-lot

---

More to be added as I go through and dismantle magazines...

Unless offering to exchange, please try to keep it to one/two patterns per person, unless there is a total lack of interest...

So kind of you to offer...
I would love the Michael Powell Winter Cottage. Michael Powells are not found here in Canada. I love his style. Let me know what you need from me and how I can help you! I am soooo excited. And while I am writing this, it has begun to snow here in Vancouver. That's rare here so it must be fateful with your kind offer.

Are they available in the US? I could be your Michael Powell angel when you need a new pattern and just ship it to you. Just a thought should you find something you absolutely love.

You are an angel Erika.
I have not "bumped" into them online before other than on his website in the UK.

Have you seen any in your shops locally? We don't have many sources here anymore for unique things like this. Michaels is about it for needles and kits. The small, personal shops are all gone.
Do you know some retailers that you could recommend in your area that I can check out?
Thanks for this kindness.

Please PM me your addresses - remember to include country, if you live anywhere other than the US!

As for whether or not it turns into an exchange - it depends.

The main things I'm seeking patterns of at the moment are: butterfly, sheep, scottish terriers, (rein)deer, autumn/fall (or seasons in general, I suppose) and at times, birds.

If you have none, then that's perfectly fine.

I'll try to ship things out ASAP - it'd probably be faster for any fellow US-ers, since those can easily be dropped in the mailbox with a first class stamp. Will have to probably go to post office to see how much it'd cost for outside the states. :)

Okay, I am here to admit my stupidity.
Today is the first time I have had a chance to send a personal message for any reason. I want to get my mailing info to noctifyre.
When I go to messages, it's very confusing to me. I guess I was expecting it to look like an email reply. Where do I input my message? I tried writing it into the window that shows the original message that I am responding to but it bounces all around and is frustrating.
Please offer me some tips.
Thanks

What I do when I'm sending a pm to someone, like for instance, in reference to this topic. I go back to the original post, and under noctifyre's orignal post, there are 2 tabs, on the left side, that say profile, and p/m. I would click on the p/m tab and that should open a window that will let you send the email directly to her, with the topic subject already in the title and in the main text--you can edit what you need from there. Hope that makes sense.

Not stupid at all

I too get the bouncing around effect - it happens when the message you are sending back is on the large side - I think it is the browser you are using that does this - all you need to do is delete the orignal message - you will have to do it with your delete button and yes it will take a while. You will then find it is okay to type in the box.

If this is not clear, ask again,
mags

You can have both, if you want... so that's the Sugar & Spice Joan Elliot, right?

Just PM me your address and I'll mail out ASAP... that goes to anyone else who hasn't done so yet, as well. :)

Charts to dwitt and Evedeve have been mailed! The rest are to Canada/overseas so I'm waiting until some auctions of mine end on ebay so I can do one single trio to the PO to mail everything at one time. :)

All right, got charts mailed out to wwdiva, fiddler and valb58.

@fiddler: You live in England, right? Just want to make sure I got the right country, since it wasn't stated when you gave me your address. xD
