lillybit, it looks like you would send yours to Serinde--since you are the last name on the list

Are we still to send the cards blank so the recipient can use them? No, I haven't made mine into a card yet - just checking. :-)

Debby,

I think it is best left blank and mailed as a gift for recipient.

I now have Wendywombat's address and have given my address to Squirrel. Things are moving forward quite nicely. 14 stitches to add to my bookmark before I decide how I will finish it and then off to the post office I will go.

Is everyone doing well with the addresses? (Those who have not yet said so, that is.)

Addresses have been given and received and I'm 1/4 of the way on mine. Is there a date that we are supposed to open our gift (I know it is to be sent by June 5) or can it be opened when it arrives. I have no problem with waiting for a particular date, but I get so impatient wanting to know how what I sent is received.

Well, in all the exchanges I have participated in, we have opened upon receiving and then posted a picture into the thread. However, we could have a date dedicated to opening our treasures if it is preferred. Let's hear everyone's thoughts. :thinks: :thinks: :thinks:

Since we're not celebrating a "holiday" like Stashmas, I vote for opening them as they are received.

I've sent my address and received an address, so that's good.

I don't mind if we all open on the same day or open as they arrive. I'd only point out that some of the participants are mailing from some way away from the recipients, and snail mail is, occasionally, uncertain and slow. For that reason, it might be good to wait at least until after the last posting date? :thinks:

OK, like all of the other exchanges I have participated in, we will open our envelopes as we receive them and then post a picture for all to see. In all likelihood the mailing out will occur from first day allowed right through to June, but that just means we will all be returning to the forum to catch up on what's new and see who has received what. Really, it will just be a lot of fun. Everyone of us is mailing to another continent (I think; perhaps I need to check that out), so mailing time will be long for everyone.

I hope stitching is going well. I have the same 14 stitches to put in that I did at the beginning of the week. I certainly hope my weekend proves more fruitful in the cross stitch department.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Never combine anniversary holidays with blanket stitch. I'm starting again on a different design, but one I won't (I hope) be embarrassed for someone else to receive!! :anotherfrog: :ribbit: :anotherfrog: :ribbit:

OH, my! I feel your pain. I don't know why, but it seems the minute there's a special occasion or deadline to meet, whatever can go wrong, will. There must be a Murphy's law for that.

All the best with your new pattern.
