Hello from Santa Cruz, California

Post by OlgasStitchingJoy »

Hello everyone!

My name is Olga, I live in Santa Cruz county, California. I have been cross-stitching for about 17 years and I have been satin stitching even more years. I also paint and do other crafts: knitting, sewing, making pine needle baskets, etc. I love nature, animals, especially cats.
At times I feel lonely, I wish there were more cross-stitching people in my small town.

I am looking forward getting to know everyone in this community!

Hello from Colorado and welcome to the forum.

I'm glad you found us - you'll no longer be lacking in stitchy friends!

What are you working on now? Before I joined the forum, I was a "one project at a time" stitcher - no longer. :-)

 Hello and welcome to the forum from South Carolina! Know what you mean about not having a lot of stitchers around. I was part of a lovely group at my local LNS for a few years, but it closed and I haven't found one since (either a LNS or a group) but this forum really makes up for it. As Sally said, because we cover so many places and time zones, someone is usually around. And many of us have pets (I am particularly fond of cats having been owned by several and currently am controlled by a feline supervisor) as well. Looking forward to getting to know you.

I so wish I could move there. Now maybe I have a good excuse to take a drive...visit a new stitchy friend. 8) What could be better, the beach and stitching.
Problem is I might have to bring my dog and maybe my mom. lol

I love the kitten design, and your black cat is so pretty. I had a black cat (named Kitty - original, I know) and she used to sit on the edge of a small koi pool next door and watch the fish. (That was obviously before she became an indoor only Kitty.)

Hi
I'm in the bay area! Santa Cruz, a small town? Moss Landing is a small town, but santa cru is a college town, and pretty big by my standards. But since my favorite restaurant changed hands, I don't drive over there too much. A bunch of us quilters go there on our shop hops! And my son mountain bikes there all the time. It's a nie place. Well, welcome and i bet if you went over to Judy's quilt shop, I think it is on Ocean, you should be able to hook up with other stitchers.
Take Care

Dimensions make such lovely small designs! I wish they made more kittens.
