I am 36, Live in a Small-town in Southern Indiana with my wonderful companion John. We have been together for most of our lives (19 years). I have a spoiled cat named Fuzzy, and 2 outside cats named Wooly and ma ma. My profession is Computer admin/support for a large company.
I have enjoyed stitching for many years actually since I was a young girl. I remember at one of my babysitting jobs the little girl was trying to make fun of me for stitching…She said only grandmas do that stuff, you’re an ol’grama. She thought she was so smart and funny. I just kept on stitching because I loved it, absolutely loved it. It gave me peace and sanity even then. Well as we all know it comes and goes, sometimes life gets in our way or we just go thru a “lullâ€, but for someone like me stitching always returns to me or I to it. As I get “more seasoned†(so much nicer than older) I seem to rely on my stitching more and more, it is my rescue, my vacation, my peace.
I am currently working on The Shepherds pattern from the Heirloom Nativity that I started on January 1, 2010. I would like to complete All three sets The Holy Family , The Wisemen, and The Shepherds by December 25th. Only time will tell if that will happen.I do have a blog ~Stitch~Save~Live~ that I post status updates on along with other stitching stuff. I also have on WIP of Marjolein Bastin “The Four Seasons†I love the design, but lost motivation and then started the nativity. I am a big fan of Prairie Schooler designs and have many of those in my Needlework Stash.
