An Indian in Ohio

Post by Preethi »

Hello all,

I was thrilled to stumble across this forum because none of my friends cross stitch, and it is so much fun to compare notes and share progress on large projects. I should confess I am a lazy cross stitcher, and have a few unfinished projects, let me list some fo what I'm working on.

The Birth of Christ (Dimensions Gold) - started in 2004, but been interrupted many times for smaller projects (including crocheted christmas ornaments) and school. Also first time I was working with 18ct Aida, so took some getting used to

2 wedding samplers:
Love Wedding Record (Creative Accents) - Modified to accomodate a wedding photograph, almost complete, but my sister wanted to add a verse, so need to undo a bit and finish.

To Love, Honor and Cherish (Janlynn) - Half done

Also working on a cross stitch band on a tea towel for a friend

Somewhere in the depths of my needlework drawer lies a barely started set of cross stitch ornaments (also Dimensions Gold, and also 18 count).

Hello and welcome. A lazy stitcher...... I think not. What you have discribed is an average stitchers bottom drawer of their stash pile.

Welcome from the West of Scotland. UFOs hold no fear for us: we know they will in time become WIPs once more. As Mabel says, we will always be on hand to cheer you on. In the meantime, don't be shy, and just jump right in. :P

SAL=Stitch-A-Long.... on this site it can mean one of two things either it is a post you put up so that you can show us what you are stitching and give us updates and talk about if ou are doing ok or if a pattern is being a problem. This helps us stay encouraged with the project we have on the go.

Or it can be a post were all of us are stitching the same pattern and we so our color choices. and show each other how we are progressing and what we have learned about the pattern and the design. :D

Hello and welcome from Indiana! If I'm thinking of the right pattern, I've done that to love, honor, and cherish pattern for a friend about 5 years ago. It's a pretty one to do.
