I just ordered my Star Trek cross stitch pattern from a seller on the website Yardsellr, http://yardsellr.com/. I ordered from the seller Jay Marchant, who has quite a few things up for sale.

I would have to say that as far as quality and speediness goes, I would rate this seller five stars. I was emailed the chart less than 24 hours after purchasing, and it was only $4.95 for the thing (Plus Yardsellr gives you these things called Photons, and they are earned by doing different things through the site and then can be used as cash. Only con on that is that they slowly decrease as you browse the site...)

My only irk with the seller/process was that there was an awful lot of "buy more of my stuff" going on... even in the files that he sent me for my chart, he mentioned his five stores an awful lot- everywhere! Then he friend requested me on Facebook to further advertise his online store.

I'm of the opinion that if you have good customer service, you are prompt, you are polite, and your products are of good quality, then that is all you need for people to come back to you for more business.

Idk, I just don't know that I want to see his advertisements all over my purchase. Hello, you already have my business!

Overall, I would recommend this seller for good patterns (it looks like has about 20 on the Yardsellr site right now), just keep in mind that it may not be your last purchase from this seller!

The speed was good, but it is just a printed out pattern from a computer. It is a great pattern and all, i was just hoping it would be on a larger piece of paper or something for the price.

But, if you are looking for NCAA patterns, it is really nice and I can't wait to stitch it!
I ordered from them as well and thought their service was really good, and their variety of patterns was great! They have a bunch of pro sports logos available as well as the college teams.
Juel wrote:I ordered some things by 1-2-3-stitch on Friday, got an email that it's on it's way on Saturday. Anyone from Europe ever shopped with them? Do they sent things by airmail? I'm trying to calculate how long it will take until the things are here. Packages by airmail are likely to take 4-6 weeks on their way to Germany, the funny thing is that a usual letter by airmail takes only one week
I paid 14$ for the shipping so maybe I'm lucky and they sent things by ups or something like that, they are usually a bit fast ;)
I order from 123 stitch all the time but I am not sure how they ship international packages. They usually ship my orders just USPS and they get to me a day or 2 after shipping. I would just email them and ask, Joanne or Cheri are always very helpful to me whenever I have any questions.

I've ordered from 123 Stitch a few times and love their service. They're fast and precise in the orders.

I've also ordered from JJ Collectibles twice and although I really like their pricing, it takes time for them to ship their orders.

Just had to tell you all about a new to me supplier The Patchwork Rabbit. They specialise in American charts and designers (e.g LK, Bent Creek,LHN) and they also stock the threads to go with them - Gentle Arts, Crescent Colours, WDW and NPIs. Their prices are much cheaper especially on GASTs and you can buy the colours in 1 yard, 5 yard and for some colours 10 yard skeins. They are considerably cheaper than other UK suppliers and their delivery rates are very reasonable and super quick! I am in no way affliated with them - but got so excited about my new find I had to share!!!

I'm absolutely thrilled with European Cross Stitch!

http://europeanxs.com/index.html" target="_blank

My order of a Chatelaine project kit took a little while to arrive but there was a manufacturer's back order issue which they told me about. So, it actually came sooner than I expected. I did some pricing on my own and I believe their kits are well priced. The items came beautifully packaged and organized, far, far above my expectations. And, they came tied in a pretty bow. I've received fabric orders for quilts tied like that and it's the kind of thing that thrills our type. Suppliers who do this are very smart, in my opinion. They "get" us.

:( Thread Express - I placed an order on July 27, 2011. I immediately received an automated email reply listing an order # and what I ordered (Eterna silks). Then I waited. They state 2-3 day processing and that it would ship Priority Mail (about 2-3 days). I emailed them twice Aug. 5 and Aug. 8 (both after hrs.) and never got a response.

Today I checked my bank statement, the sale never went through. I called, during store hours, I tried twice in a row and the calls never went through. I waited 10 min. and tried again and it went directly to voicemail. I left a message.

We'll see what happens.

Update - never heard back from Thread Express. I'm not going to call them again, I would if I had been charged for the thread, but since I wasn't I'm going to let it go. Even if she called me right now, I wouldn't want to reorder from her.

If you're looking for a good bargain you might want to go to this site ...

http://www.stitchingbitsandbobs.com/" target="_blank

This site was included on a list of site suggestions when I was searching Google for linen fabric for a future project. When I went to the site I was surprised by the vast array of charts & threads & everything else you could ever want for cross stitching! What was especially exciting is that the owner is offering 20-25% off just about everything in the shop during the month of August! I ordered several threads I needed ... then went back & ordered some charts & a kit & a Gentle Arts thread collection ... lol! I just couldn't pass up this deal! I was notified in about a week that the package was on its way (it was held up because one of the specific threads I ordered was out of stock & had to be ordered from the supplier). The shop is located in Michigan & I highly recommend them for their good service & for their variety of products.

Blessings,

I've ordered from abcstitch.com, no complaints, website is huge and images take a little time to load, though no problems with shipping or the finished project. They will send you an email newsletter with new projects coming out.

Also ordered from 123stitch.com- also no complaints. I think this website was the one where if you were looking at ordering a pattern online that they would also list all the floss needed and allow you to add it to your shopping cart as well (I think). If I'm remebering that correctly, it was a nice feature.

Most recently ordered from mysticstitch.com. No complaints about the actual product, but the shipping/ordering process was kind of a mess. The website states most orders should be received in 7-10 business days from the moment of placing the order. For me it was almost a month. I sent them several emails and didn't get a response until the 3rd email... though their website did say that they were experiencing computer problems. I am assuming it was a one-time problem and would consider ordering from them in the future.
A cool thing about this website is that they have patterns that you can download immediately, and be stitching right away. I might consider that in the future and avoid the whole shipping fiasco.

I mainly use sewandso who are excellent and they have even ordered a chart in for me, still cheaper than anywhere else I could find it. I also have recently bought 2 charts from Celtic Rose Needlecraft. They were really quick and you can have your chart sent via email if you need it straight away. Also, their DMC threads are only 50p.

Late last week I received my order from "Anita's Little Stitches" at
http://www.anitalittlestitches.com/with ... hread.html
and I was very pleased with everything, especially the quick delivery - I ordered on the 11th & it was in my mail on the 16th.

She has mainly primative/traditional type designs from designers such as Blackbird Designs, Little House Needleworks, With Thy Needle & Thread, and quite a few others, including some of her own (along with threads, scissors, fabric, etc.). The only initial drawback I had was that there is a $20 minimum order and I had only wanted the Partridge in a Pear Tree chart from WTN&T. However, the 3 other charts I finally narrowed my list down to  are quite nice & I'm glad I got them!

If you're interested in small designs such as these, give it a look-see. As an added incentive to look, there is a store-wide sale on through the rest of the month (September)!

One thing I also like about 123 Stitch is that when I wasn't sure about something regarding a particular fabric I was ordering, I called and asked about it. Joanne (?) went and checked for me right then and there so I could continue one. That may not always happen, but she was so polite and helpful. and it was so nice to be able to talk with a person and not have to wait for the email question/answer which can sometimes take a day or two. Not critical, but certainly a nice extra bit of customer service.

Here's another site I've used several times, that I like & just received an order from...
Wyndham Needleworks:
http://www.wyndhamneedleworks.com/html/ ... __kits.htm

Lydia specializes in samplers, but there's so much more... I have spent hours drooling over the many charts!! One of the things I really like about this site, is that a lot of the charts give the stitch size, suggested fabric, and the kind of floss used. I've used this feature many times in narrowing down my selections.

I have always been pleased with my orders, and as a bonus she usually throws in a little something extra. In the latest one (3 charts), there was a tapestry needle, a promotional chart, and a beautiful hank of silk ribbon. It's not the main reason I order here, but it is nice!

I haven't ordered for a while but I think CROSS STITCH COLLECTIBLES (http://www.xs-collectibles.com" target="_blank) has amazing patterns. They are fine art cross stitch and the result looks exactly like the original painting. I didnt do one myself but my friend did one of my patterns and I was amazed at the result.

I found a new site to order from called Allstitch.
It is primarily a website with machine embroidery products, but it has a whole selection of embroidery blanks that work for cross stitch items as well. For example, they have about 6 different varieties of travel coffee mugs that you can insert a piece of stitching in, and all sorts of other useful things that can hold a stitched design (keychains, coasters, napkin holders, glasses cases, etc). Their prices are ridiculously affordable and their customer service is excellent. I emailed them to ask if the items would work with cross stitch items, and a representative emailed me back in less than 24 hours to let me know which products would work and which I should stay away from. When I finally placed my order, I received it in less than a week, and each item was individually boxed and wrapped so that everything arrived safely. Will definitely order from them again!

Just use a site that was new to me that I wanted to let you all know about it is

http://www.needleworkdiscount.com/

I needed more of a specialty thread I got at a store an hour away, and didn't have time to go there...so I searched online and found it here! It was Splendor Silk and the site had everything. They also have DMC, Kreinik, Gentle Arts and lots of kits and supplies. Got good prices and got everything VERY quickly!

Great for US members who can't find specialty stuff near them (though JoAnn fabric had some Kreinik last time I went, only 6-8, but it is a start. The person said if people are buying, they will stock more)
