after 2 1/2 days in the wilderness of no computer network. A long power failure in our area Monday night also took out the internet until about an hour ago.

Its sure been hard not being able to check in on all the doings on here. Off now to try and catch up a bit.

Glad you are back! It is so frustrating to lose the internet. Glad you have it and power back too. I just saw one of the "Kids React" You Tube Videos with the kids reacting to a typewriter. Something that still worked without power. But was a bit more difficult to send a message across the globe "back then", wasn't it

Sort of. I still correspond regularly with a lady in Australia using snail mail We rarely write less than a dozen pages, with 8-10 pens and as many colours of inks. Takes about a week for the letter to get there. OK, it costs a fair bit more than e-mail, but it's much more personal.

I love the post. And miss the really good letters I used to receive from all over the world. I must admit, however, that many of my emails to same friends are as long as the old letters...

I love to get letters and enjoying sending them too. Its sad that it is not done more often as it is definitely much more personal than emails.
