I just bought two HAEDs that I have no intention of actually stitching for a while and I now have those HAEDS just sitting on my computer :)

Just got the president's day e-mail so I snatched up Snowman and Universe in a Jar... the two I've been trying to choose between. Ordinarily I would start amassing stash for them but my current pattern, Sunflower Bee, is a gift and I want to finish it before starting anything new :)

Welcome!!!!!!! I must say 35% off is rather tempting and I may yet add to my HAED collection. So far I have bought 'Rhyme & Reason' and 'Trio' both by James C Christensen, which I have actually started, 'Sistine Chapel' which I've just kitted up (still awaiting supplies to arrive as I only ordered them today) for a start on 1st April.
I have bought and have yet to kit up 'A Responsible Woman' and 'Purple Dragon' also by Christensen, 'Tree of Wonders' of Josephine Wall, 'Sisters' by Sandra Kuck, 'While she was waiting' by Drazenka Kimpel (now discontinued) and SK 'Waiting' by Jonathon Earl Bowser.

You are definitely NOT ALONE IN YOUR ADDICTION!!!!!!!!

Two charts have jumped into my shopping cart and a third one is itching to go.
Marnicat'sHey Sis Did You Hear That and Garmashova's Sweet Chap. Sandra Kuck's Sistershas been in my Wish List for a good long while now (if you start yours, Jo and I get it too we could do a SAL), but it is even larger than the others, but I love it so much I am tempted. Sooner or later it will show up too. If I start now I could have it done for my sister's 75th Birthday  (the current gift is for her 60th  ). Now I have 2 days to decide if these stay in the cart or not.
I have no will power.

Since I just got a nice gift card to 123 Stitch, I'm safe from HAED yet again. There are so many non-HAEDs I want to stitch and the 4 HAEDs I currently have will surely keep me occupied for a long time.

I even cleared out most of my wish list, leaving just those that I really CAN'T remove from it, you know, the ones I'll certainly break my "no HAED buys" vow for.

I do check HAED everyday to see if my Ophelia's been charted, and that I will buy as soon as it's available, sale or no sale.

And I gotta say it, we seem to turn more people into HAED-cases here than they do at HAED. :D

They have gift cards  I didn't know... I am essentially registered there for life anyway... if anyone in my family wants to buy me something they can just grab me threads and fabric from my wish list :D I cannot wait to start these two new HAEDs.

Sisters is the one that is really tempting me which is why i didn't put it in the cart. It is so lovely and so different from my others. I will probably end up putting the other 2 back in my wish list and getting this one on Wednesday. Probably. God only knows when I will stitch it. But that doesn't ever seem to stop any of us, does it? So which one are you trying not to succomb to?

Well now that the minis are on sale for today only, I might just have to get that mini sapphire you pointed out :) I love how your amethyst looked when you finished. Plus my SIL might like mini Opal since her birthday is in October, or my mother might like the diamond I think it is for June? I'll have to do some research when I get home from work. :D

I have just been on to HAED website after reading everyone's posts I'm a complete newbie to this site and I've just ordered a pic Foxglove Ball its so pretty I couldn't resist!
I've stitched up to 18 count can anyone tell me is 25 count much different to stitch? I think I'll need a bit of help as I've never made a grid either when i read the FAQ's on the site i got a bit confused :? so any help would be much appreciated thankyou :)

18 ct would be Aida, which is woven slightly different than evenweaves, 25 ct. being an example of. But, most HAEDs stitched on 25 ct are done over 1 thread, instead of over 2 as it's the usual for evenweaves.

You could get a sample piece and see how you feel about it, and as with anybody trying a HAED for the first time, test on different fabrics first, different counts and different amounts of strands in the needle until you find something you're comfortable with for the long journey that usually is with a HAED.

Oh, and if you end up not liking evenweaves at all, people do HAEDS on 18 and 20 ct Aida all the time, and they look gorgeous.

Do you need an excuse? What is the chart? I will find you an excuse. If it is a mini, then there is probably not going to be sale of minis for a very very long time ans Michele has indicated that it takes a long time to chart them. If you are going to get it sooner or later, sooner makes sense now. Also, when all else fails it is patriotic to help the economy. (easier to say right now when today things are a bit better. harder to say tomorrow if everything changes quickly so you need to know which days that excuse will work). If none of the above works, let me know and I will find another one.

Ladies, I cannot feel more inept. I had decided I would treat myself to the Mary Praying (not the mini either) and instead of downloading it AFTER my Adobe install, I tried it apparently both at the same time...and LOST the download...if it ever started. All I know is that when I went back to the order box, it said "expired" - I would be glad to order it again but don't know when that will happen since I am a temp for who knows how long.

If nothing else, I learned a valuable lesson about computers...and I will look forward to seeing everyone else's work. Duh!!!!! (And thanks for letting me whine!)

spinnerbeck, email Michele at HAED and explain what happened to her. She might be able to help you. She is so good at understanding when these things happen. You can't lose anything by trying and very well may get your chart.
