This may be of interest to those of you who get WOCS? There's a wedding bouquet design published in the next issue that has a little story attached, but unknown to the mag eds
I used the names Louisa and Richard for a specific reason. They are my DH's great great grandparents who didn't marry each other. Louisa was separated from her husband but not divorced, so was therefore unable to marry Richard. Louisa and Richard lived together in Victorian England (how shocking for those times!) until Louisa spent her final years in an asylum. She suffered with post-natal depression.
The wedding bouquet was my personal dedication to Louisa and Richard and for the marriage that couldn't happen in their lifetime. The fee for the design is being donated to a Bristol based post-natal depression support group called "Mothers for Mothers".
A little background there, although not entirely
to do with stitching!
