The black outline of the butterfly is done but you just can't see it!!!!

Oh no, that is disappointing. Such a pretty design but the colors seem way off. Do you think you can fix it by changing out colors? It looks like someone failed during the quality control process of converting the picture to chart.

Not the same at all!! I'd be furious - and would lose heart completely. I hope I am not putting negative ideas in your head where there were none, but I'd have no faith that it would be right anywhere else either.

How disappointing this is for you. I think if it was me I would frog the background and go for lighter shades of the colours they have chosen and just change it all the way through. A pain I know but it would make a big difference.

I would send an email to Michelle and attatch your pictures and see if there is an error in the chart. It looks to me like the foliage around the butterfly is too dark so maybe she can do something to fix it. It is such a lovely design, I hope that it can be adjusted.

Well. . . . . .yes, it is disappointing. At least you caught it relatively early. I've seen this happen often enough that I caution folks to find an imagine of their charts already stitched before you commit time and supplies to them. Showing you an image of the artwork they used to make the conversion doesn't show what the stitched piece will look like....which is what we care about. I hope they can fix that.

You know... I would try to fill in the butterfly... sometimes it all look wrong until it is done and all of a sudden it makes sense...
I do agree that right now it does not look quite right...

I have thought about completing the butterfly I'm working on and seeing it that makes a difference but struggling with motivation on it. It's not just that you can't see the black of the butterfly but even the pinks/purples in the background seem off.

I have emailed HAED the picture and will see what they say.

I really hope they come up with a better colour match for you, it is very disappointing. At least you started at the bottom right than the top left, you may nit have hit this issue for a year or so!!

I did two pages top left before deciding I hated the fabric and that the pale colours would just get grubby!!!

I've had some doubts about the HAED I'm doing too.

Wow.. that is just so way off!!! Unfortunately I've seen this happen on a few different patterns by HAED. I'm not sure what the ideal resolution would be - I mean you've already started it twice!

So the feedback from HAED is to stick with and trust the charting.

I think rather than do this page by page I will stitch the butterfly then go work in a spiral of 10 x 10 blocks around it and see what happens.

Wellll.....OK what if you tried a light backstitch around the butterfly? and sorry you got kind of a non answer from them....
