Stash and Grab 2016

Post by Serinde »

Golly, THAT was a good party!! It's taken all this time to tidy up. But we are back in business now. There might even be some mulled wine left over... :P

One of the best things about this wonderful virtual pub is the never ending supply of drink..... and food of course. I am trying to decide between my favorite cold weather drinks (since it is getting chilly here finally). Irish coffee or hot buttered rum? Maybe one of each?

And why not?? Remember we cater to all tastes: our kitchens are, well, totally miraculous in what they can produce to satisfy hungry stitchers. And no calories, being virtual...!

If only I could get 1 big hot chocolate, just because I have one WIP less. I just got one FO more on my list. The LK is done, so I decided I want to celebrate that with one cup of hot chocolate and some eggless :cake: .

*Serinde bustles about, footling in the cupboards to haul out the frying pans and give them a scrub*.

Seems like there are an awful lot of frogs to fry; a feast of smarty-pants :ribbit: !

Caught one yesterday, trying to interfere with my counting Mabel's SAL. :x That Won't Do.

Where have you brought your :anotherfrog: :ribbit: pals from?

I've had a few (too many!) in the freezer waiting for this wonderful party. Thawed and ready to be fried. "O Kitten Tree" saw several as did the Wedding Sampler. I LOVE Shortbread, Wendy, so I hope you made plenty.

I think we are all going to need bibs, these are Fat Frogs! :anotherfrog:

Excellent shortbread, BTW. Perhaps we should have Frogs a la Eccose. I have some malt around here somewhere...

  You're right, WW. Why waste good whisky on a wretched :ribbit: ?? WHAT was I thinking?

That escapee has been the bane of my stitching existence since I began an ornament from the 2007 Just Cross Stitch Christmas Issue. No, he hasn't been hopping since 2007, got a back issue. Anyway! "Sugar and Lace Ornament" by Victoria Sampler. :tizzy: It's only hardanger with a bit of cross stitching. I can't see why I'm having so much trouble with it, honestly, I can't. Except that the chart uses one line for two threads (28ct). I have thought about recharting the main motif on graph paper... :tantrum: I blame the frog. :ribbit:

:tantrum: :tantrum:
Why can't we catch that little fella! :anotherfrog: He's just jumped over here and straight into the 9th motif!!! :tantrum:

I'm going to have to unpick ALL the 'ships' and the central square!!! I'm a thread out and didn't notice until the final part of the ship was done!!!

Ggrrrrrr! (block ears please...the Wombat is going to say a very rude word!!! ######!!!) :tantrum:

Pass that bottle of malt....I need drink!!!

:wine: :wine: :wine: Those are the days that require several glasses. It's cold today so I think Irish :coffee: will be good but I will postpone it until at least after lunch. With lots of whip cream on top.

Oh, fiddlesticks! That is what you said, isn't it, WW? NO? Gosh! Care for water or ice with that dram? Or are you having it neat? Just don't throw the glass at the :ribbit: before you finish it.

Carole you can have as much whipped cream as you like. It's on the house.
