I came home at lunch time from my happy embroidery group to find a big package in my letter box and opened it very soon after I got me and my library books and stitching inside.

An amazing array of Canadian/American chocolate, some Jon James needles in different sizes, a cute needleholder with squirrels embroidered on it and a lovely card/letter with beautiful Maple leaves on it.

An amazing collection Tiffany and Thank You oh so very much - it has made my day. The chocolate is in the fridge to keep solid and I will nibble at it from time to time for sure. You really are an amazing lady. There were some lovely pics of Miss Sophia too - gee she is growing up fast.

Never struck that before - a notice on Postimage to say "image temporarily disable to allow maintenance". so a picture later on.

Aahh finally got it to work. It is one of those mornings. :tantrum:

Is this for your Autumn/Fall Gift Exchange Sally? If so you've posted on the wrong thread and not the Exchange one ;) but they sound lovely. Could you please put up a post on there about them as well when you get a photo? Thanks xxx

What a lovely, thoughtful package! The goodies look yummy. The needle case is so pretty.
Lovely colours on the leaves too. :)

Nicola, it is not for the gift exchange, just a rather late birthday gift. :) I love elongated birthdays.

Over the weekend, I met my nephew's new wife, a London native who is trying to adjust to Chicago and the US. While chatting, she said she was wanting to cross stitch for the first time. So, I found her two starter kits at 123stitch.com:

http://www.123stitch.com/item/Dimension ... Kit/K72407" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank

And then, of course, I found two kits for myself! The Christmas reindeer is for me: http://www.123stitch.com/item/Dimension ... /K70-08851" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank

And the cardinals I'll make for her and nephew as a housewarming gift. They can leave it up all winter. http://www.123stitch.com/item/Dimension ... Kit/K35178" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank

OK here is a photo of my latest spending - just couldn't resist the owls and penguins and of course Baby's first Christmas. The latter is for Brooklyn's 2nd Christmas (she was 3 mths old last year) plus the jig saw puzzle is a freebe from Fox Collection.

If you want clearer pictures or are tempted then Google Fox Collection Catalogue. They are part of the Innovations Group which is all sorts of stuff.

Thank you for your kind explanation, Nicola. Without those dots their designs would not look worse, so what's the point? I like them all so much, that one day I may start stitching one of them, but of course without those dots.

My new DMC threads arrived in their lovely collector's tin on Wednesday. I love them and you get a couple of free charts with them too :)

Oohhh, they are lovely. Great you get 2 charts with them. Were either of those ducks, hens or hares? (tongue in cheek question!) :) :)

Look forward to seeing them once you incorporate those colours into a design, they should be great :D

Pretty colours but I think I will pass on adding them. Running out of room on that shelf. :)
