I love teaching!

Post by Mabel Figworthy »

I taught the second of my Embellished Embroidery workshops yesterday - a group of thirteen, which kept me on my toes! And why I love teaching? Because I love seeing people who have done no embroidery before look at what they have created, and be astonished with themselves :-)

Here is one of the finished projects, and it's the lady's first ever embroidery:

That's great Mabel. How beautifully this is stitched - no wonder the lady was so delighted with what she had done. Well done to you for teaching them & being so patient. :applesauce: :applesauce:

Such a pretty piece of embroidery! The lady will go home with not only her project but the ability to create more and we all know how valuable this is! X-stitching is my yoga! :D

What a lovely group of ladies enjoying their lesson and what a beautiful first piece of embroidery has been done too. Great teaching Mabel and yes it is fun to watch someone learning a new skill and being amazed at getting it right. :)

Well done, Teacher Mabel. And to your student - great job. It looks like a good group - they are all so intent on their work.

All your students look absorbed in their work, and the finished product is excellent. Hard to believe this is a beginner. You must be a very fine teacher indeed! :P

They were all doing their very best and really concentrating! It just goes to show that our lovely hobby is really accessible and even beginners can create lovely pieces.

:applesauce: :applesauce: Knowing how well you explain things in your instructions, I have never doubted that you would be an awesome teacher in person. When I win the lottery (if I ever buy a ticket), I would absolutely come to one of your classes.
