Hands up who missed me!

Post by wendywombat »

I haven't abandoned the Forum!

We haven't had phone or Internet since 10th August and still don't know when we will have! I am using a friends's connection at the moment to catch up.

Watch this space for The Wombat's Return ASAP.

Have to confess I'd assumed you'd gone on holiday, and to avoid telling every burglar on the planet, you hadn't stated it on the open forum.

Hope things get settled quickly.

Richard

I was assuming a digital holiday - can be quite as relaxing, and is not so risky qua burglars :-)

But reading the OP again I see it was not a voluntary digital holiday, and that of course is just annoying. So hope everything will soon be up and running again!

That is what I assumed also, though if I had thought about it, I should have realized that you usually let us know when you will be gone for a while. I have a friend who is very security conscious and makes me more paranoid than I would normally be about such things. But, it also lets you know that you were most definitely missed!!

I am back! :whoop: :whoop:

Not a holiday, but a family of nasty nibbling Rodents who had decided to have a midnight feast on our wires! :tantrum:

I have lost all faith in telephone companies, grrrr! They told me that the line had been fixed last week, then they said it would be fixed in the next 48 hrs, with luck!
I asked if they had just 1 engineer for the whole of France  That went down well and he turned up an hour later.

Just goes to show that a Feisty Wombat can get it done..........eventually :whoop:

I like the sound of the drinking establishment. ...I really have needed those wee drams this past 11 days. 8)

Thanks for the Hands up...

All to the Wombat's Return for celebratory drinks! And much though I usually like rodents (of the hamster variety), shame on them for being such a nuisance.

I wonder, Mabel, if the Wombat's Return is the public or saloon bar of the Stash & Grab?... or perhaps a separate establishment altogether? Can one forum support two virtual establishments...? :thinks: 8)

As our resident Wombat Wendy gets to decide what it is, I think, so we now have a Cocktail Lounge :-) ! I'll dust off my glad rags and meet you there - does Pimm's count as a cocktail?

Welcome back!!! And it wasn't a complete loss since we have a new addition to the Stash & Grab! I love how quickly things can be accomplished in the virtual world. Too bad the same can't be said of the real world!
